I was so wrong about Detroit Red Wings 9th overall pick Nate Danielson, and his projected arrival to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Nate Danielson gets fitted for his future Detroit Red Wings uniform! It is coming. He fits the Red Wings needs at center.
Last Fall Danielson was the last prospect released after the last Red Wing preseason game. He definitely would have been sent to Grand Rapids if it hadn’t been for the age CHL RULE.
My thoughts exactly. He got a really long look last preseason. I think he spends the whole year in GR minus a cup of coffee to work on his game but I think he's taking a spot on the big club in 2025.
Season ticket Winterhawks fan here. I love Nate and he was easily one of our best players if not the best throughout the playoffs. Sad to not win but happy we got there

I will be at the Memorial Cup tournament in Saginaw, and was really hoping to see Danielson there.
Disappointing for me that this won't happen, but it might ultimately be better for Danielson. He'll now get a chance to play at the AHL level yet this spring, and his development is really the most important thing here.
He's incredible. I love him and will miss my boy in Portland. Go Nate!!!
Nate will be great! 👍 I believe he will be added to the lineup. Even if he is put on the 3rd or 4th line, he will make an impact. His preseason play last year was enough for him to almost make the red wings. If he was on a bad team like the sharks or Hawks last year, he would have made it to the NHL.
Lol He'll be on the first line of the Girffins within a week if they bring him up, he nearly made the Wings roster in preseason

@@thekillers1stfannot to forget that I don't see Danielson taking the seat of Czarnik for now so 3rd line is more likely the fit for him to start if only he would be able to play quickly which is not a guaranty
If Danielson makes the Wings, he won’t be playing any lower than the 3rd line. Playing 18-20 minutes a night in GR is much more beneficial than 9 minutes on the 4th line.
I do hope Danielson can keep the good times rolling in GR. It seems that once he was traded to Portland earlier in the year, he was allowed to really take off and shine. That doesn't mean I'm expecting him to put up the same numbers with the Griffins in these playoffs, but it will be interesting to watch his development path, and whether he can keep th at star of his shining bright.
Nate Danielson has played 4 years in the WHL so he's eligible to continue to the AHL.

I don't expect him to be in Detroit next year, so it's exciting his transition to GR gets to start a little early. Happy to be wrong about that though.
They did the same thing to Larkin the year before he started for the sings, this kid is way ahead of schedule and will be another surprise success for yzerman. He only outplayed bedard in two out of 3 games in jr's, is the great two way center the wings have been looking for, but nobody picked him because he wasn't scoring enough, well now he is, I can't wait for yzerman haters to eat it again.
#29 is waiting for him.

You said that you "think" Berggren will be in the NHL next fall? My understanding is that there is no doubt.
He will be out of waiver options next fall, and Yzerman has said that he does not think that Berggren would clear waivers. So that means that if the Red Wings don't add him to their full-time NHL roster next fall, then someone else will.
