I found a Rolex Date Just at that very beach with my metal detector about 30 yards out. It had a engraving with a first and last name and it was returned 2 weeks later. Belonged to a Dr out of Texas and I happened to be there with my family from Texas so it worked out great!!

The general cost of😢😢 buying a medium metal detector and a scoop, pinpointer, carrying bag plus the parking lot fees,are financially out of the question for most wanna be detectorist..In order to make It pay for itself, you have to find a spot in the mob of wanna be detectorist swarming the beaches on both sides of the country.... How many gold rings and silver chains would be sufficient to pay for all your equipment??? These guys on RUclips who are constantly digging up gold rings and coins etc.Are adding to the problems of overcrowding by the army of delusional detectorist...Then, there's the territorial situation.. People actually fighting for their areas on the beaches as if they own the areas they're searching! Wondering when the handguns will make an appearance.,,???? Over the years I have seen the changes in attitude and aggressive behavior being normal everyday drill on our public parks and the beautiful beaches..💔💔💔💔😥😅
Well this would make for a great video! Unfortunately making a living at this is a gamble like becoming a professional holdem player in poker. I have a CCW and carry for protection against thieves not fellow detectorist. I have been threatened from a few that never take me up on offers of meeting me. Bunch of keyboard bandits. Lots of old guys that feel it’s their beaches. Gold is $25-$45 per gram 10k-18k. With that said you need @ 50 grams to pay for nice equipment. That’s 10 gold rings at average oh 5 grams. Tictok and RUclips has made it seem easy and now with the advent of the $500 machines that can hunt beaches it’s only going to get more difficult to find gold. Many recovery groups also add to lack of lost gold. Beaches are now at $4 per hour to park. This should be looked at as a hobby like golf, fishing, Skiing etc PS the world is going to shit and everything is becoming harder 🙏💪❤️
