I like how this proves that a conductor does not need to stand in front of a musical/choir group and wave their arms around the entire time.
I always thought that was silly when I was a kid because nobody paid attention to them after the song starts.

That is completely untrue, the conductor is still conducting while playing the piano, but he is giving the choir cut offs and is telling them where to breath and where to not breath with his body. The difference with a conductor that is not playing piano would be that he has his hands free and would be able to que the choir all those things with hand motions. In a choir you should be watching the conductor the whole song because it not only looks good but it also keeps the choir together.

@@JustCharlie81 I notice this more with large orchestras, nobody ever looks up and the conductos are just up there with thier hands dancing around like fools.

@@JustCharlie81 Sometimes then he VBC also is "supported" by an orchestra. But the orchestra then also does need a lot of money... The VBC has 4 concert choirs in an own boarding home and does need alone much money. Corona for example was a "disaster" for the VBC !

@@tickduck1117 Sorry, no. His younger son is the second boy from the right in the first row with the sopranos behind the soloist. His brother is the first boy from the left in the first row with the altos. That concert was in 2019. Both boys in the meantime aren´t members of the VBC any more... The mother of both boys is a Lady from the USA. The family is living in Wien (Vienna). ´Regards ! I´m also the owner of the channel Kruzifan.

I recently attended Mass at the Hofburg and one of his sons was there escorting people to their seats. He was wearing the black suit and white shirt worn by members of Chorus Juventus.@@Hahnimkorb100
