STALKER has much the same feel in the later games. You can be entering a facility infested with horrific mutants with only 3 shotgun shells and some makarov mags left over and your goal is to wipe the nest out. Eastern games really do hit you in your mortality compared to western games that are mainly power trips.
Same, I'll replay Dead City sometimes and just cry after you escape from the medical facility. The entire car run has me weeping. Kirill was honestly such a great addition to those moments, brave kid who has lost everything, amazed by seeing the fucking moon of all things. That moment really set it in stone how Artyom must have felt reaching Moscow surface with Bourbon for the first time in Metro 2033, the wonder and awe.
when i was small kid, i played metro 2033, then when i was kinda bigger, i played metro last light, and now i played metro exodus, this music made me cry
For me masterpiece truthfully is, a game which you can't replay again as it was, not becouse that it was bad, or too short, but becouse you don't want to loose the memories. Going alone in the metro of Moscow with so many unanswered questions, till the exodus of Artyom's friends and brothers in arms. The series trully was amazing and it will be forever in my hearth as one of the best stories I've ever heard.
"What a beautiful world we destroyed". Humans have made these structures that govern us, and these structures, in time, have become self-destructive, like a machine that shakes itself apart because it cannot stop and consider what it is doing. Let us hope it is not yet too late to steer away from our course, to live in harmony with the world and with the others who live in it. Or at least, to get rid of a few of the bombs. How many ends of the world are on the horizon now? It was two a couple of years ago, now there are three, or four maybe. It is hard to hope for me, I'm young but I feel as though I'm in a mid-life crisis. But I still think things can change. Perhaps at least we will leave this world with fewer guns to our heads than we entered it with. Greetings from the other side of the world, and best of luck in saving it.
And that it creates it so faithfully that we're willing to replay those key moments to re-experience them. I'll never not cry to the sound of Miller telling Artyom to wake up and stay with him. Or the scene with the mother bear in Last Light, or catching up to Pavel and either killing him or giving him mercy, all of the levels with the little dark one were truly amazing, it felt like we really were being followed around by a young alien trying to experience human culture. Bourbon's death will always hit home thanks to his character arc in the games, Uhlman will be missed, Khan's words of wisdom will always echo in the tunnels we travel down, even Artyom's adoptive dad, all these characters were as good as real people, they felt real, alive. The character I wish we got to spend more time with or found out more about in the game is Hunter, I know we got more of him in Metro 2034's novel but it would have been nice in the game.
6 Months ago I got Metro 2033 for free on Steam and I am gonna be fully honest with you, it changed my mind; five or so days ago I bought the hole Metro Franchise on Steam for 14 bucks which in the country I live in, is literally the price for 3 Big Mac's. Now I am the happiest man alive and my vision of the world has changed I have been enlightened just like the achievement.

metro is a major part of my life it taught me how to fight for what I believe in and stand up for what's right it got me through some tough chapters in my life and I owe it all to Artyom a man who would literally go against all odds to free his people from a nuclear nightmare that no one asked for. long story short Artyom is my hero
metro Exodus game mechanics wise, really good I'll give it 10/10. Every Mission area in the game looked amazing they really put the effort in there. The story wise is just like the other ones, top story telling, I wish the first two had this level of game design, what a great series. Overall the best single player game I've played in the last 10 years, I first played in 2013 on Xbox loved it since then, 10/10.
So random In a House in a Heartbeat is in the Metro franchise. Not complaining though could put in every atmospheric survival horror action game and it works.
I think Metro is so much better than S.T.A.L.K.E.R because to me it just feels so much more immersive you have so many scenes full of emotion there's heartbreak there's anger, sadness and the feeling that there is real tangible hope of saving the metro instead of wandering around furthering your own interests.
this debate is probably the most interesting anyone could ever have... however, i relish in joy thinking they are in the same universe. One is in Russia, after the great wars, the other is just before.... but those are great points. In Metro you have something to fight for, something anyone can associate with.... in stalker, you're deep in misery, just there trying to explore a new world by yourself

All the games honestly, this was the best games I play in my life
when i was small kid, i played metro 2033, then when i was kinda bigger, i played metro last light, and now i played metro exodus, this music made me cry
You know I like something when I listen to the whole thing. I have a lot of time for these which is really nice :)
I love how this compilation ends with roadhouse ensuring that it leaves you in a good mood.
Ha! As a Pole i Love Metro. Chwała Zakonu!
i love how in the end it changed from chill and sad music to beach/on the road music
Race Against Fate is literally god tier, it comes up close with Metro Last Light’s Echoes from the Past as for the Soul Impact aspect.

@@LordHoward you're right, it's a spoiler. My bad, was not with that intention
There's something to be said of how the music of the first two games managed to create such a hopeless, yet hopeful atmosphere.
Metro it is the best game! This game has the most beautiful and deep songs and themes. I think it is the best example of the game ingredient.
I love the homage to the 28 days later soundtrack at 17:25
6 Months ago I got Metro 2033 for free on Steam and I am gonna be fully honest with you, it changed my mind; five or so days ago I bought the hole Metro Franchise on Steam for 14 bucks which in the country I live in, is literally the price for 3 Big Mac's.
Now I am the happiest man alive and my vision of the world has changed I have been enlightened just like the achievement.

Im absolutely enchanted by this music and book. This is my first time with this series and i can feel the odour, the scent of death, Im really in Moscow metro line
Respect to 4A Games and GSC Game World for making some of the greatest games ever made.
metro is a major part of my life it taught me how to fight for what I believe in and stand up for what's right it got me through some tough chapters in my life and I owe it all to Artyom a man who would literally go against all odds to free his people from a nuclear nightmare that no one asked for. long story short Artyom is my hero
Another good one guys ;)
this series saundtracks was post in my birthday, i like so much this saundtracks, i feel this in my heart and mind.

metro Exodus game mechanics wise, really good I'll give it 10/10.
Listening Race against Fate gives me chills every time, cuz I remember the strong emotions that I felt in that part of the game
one of the best games ever made in mankind history
Books are even better. Masterpiece

Great work! Maybe add somewhere the credits song from "The Two Colonels". It's a truly awesome piece.
I thought that no game can brake my heart again, but this.. this game and this soundtrack can and it will everytime
So random In a House in a Heartbeat is in the Metro franchise. Not complaining though could put in every atmospheric survival horror action game and it works.
That's litterally one the best soundtrack packs among all of the games I've played

Good music to listen to during a breakup.
@@PedroRodrigues-je6xp S.T.A.L.K.E.R only has radiation in the zone the rest of the world is perfectly fine

I will say this the Metro series always had great music Metro Exodus went far beyond though
I wanna go back to metro and seeing the beautiful and horrifying eldritch Structures and tunnels stretching into kilometers having a blue glowing fog and green glowing mushrooms. With beautiful red sunsets above the city that has been taken by nature 😥. I hope creators return us into Moscow worlds😔
Words cannot describe the emotions I feel thinking back on my playthrough from metro 2033 to the end of metro exodus I was on the edge of my seat every step of the way every time I replayed this game it was so much fun I couldn't help but binge the entire game now I don't typically like to be a ball washer but they really did something special with this game and it will forever hold a special place in my heart there are two other games that have itched my need to game quite like this game and those games would be doom and dark souls if you've yet to try any of these games I would HIGHLY recommend playing them in order
