I was actually waiting for your input on this hehe. A big reason of why I love these guys so much is how they keep surprising me even 25 years after I heard them for the first time. I am a big fan of the original AND of Apo's first take on it from, it's a personal favourite of mine, so I thought I knew what to expect and, of course, I was wrong. Also, happy to have a studio version of One with audible bass guitar. Really really powerful stuff. Can't wait for this album, it's only a few weeks left.
I actually saw them live last weekend, when they opened their new world tour. This was their final song of the set and it was amazing. Really gave me the shivers, it hits you differently when you can also just feel the music, the bass, in your bones. Been listening to this on repeat afterwards lol. And yes it was a recorded track playing behind them, they played the cello parts live. Could be epic to see them perform with live orchestra too
After this, I would love to hear James Hetfield narrate some audiobooks! That would be so cool!
