I am guessing the hole in the tire iron is for this civic's scissor jack, which I have never used.
You have to replace the rotors when you get new pads. They might look fine, but please change the rotors, too.

@@ratherelevated I would go with power stop rotors. I have a set on my Civic, and they have excellent stopping power.
No, unless something's wrong with them, they don't "have" to be changed.
And it's at 91k; that rotor will not make it.
