I never comment on videos but I can't tell you how much I appreciate this video. I saw the other ones about going in through the wheel well and taking off the bumper and I thought I may as well just take it to the garage... Just finished the replacement on my own in 5 mins using your technique! You probably saved me $200 for garage visit for a light bulb. Thank you!!!
Wish I would have found this video before I took my truck yo have the right headlight replaced. They said they had to drop the grill and everything $200 for a headlight. Needless to say my left side just went out. Thanks your a life saver
This is the simplest and best video for changing the headlights on a 07 Tahoe. Appreciate it. Took 10 minutes tops. And I'm really mechanically challenged.
Thank you for sharing fastest method for replacing the headlight bulbs for these Chevy Tahoe’s. It took me one minute to replace mine. The plus side of all his is that it beats them other YT DIYers suggesting to remove the bumper, grill, two side fenders and the radiator just to replace the bulb.
Thank you for keeping this under 5 min. Good video and I'm glad I didn't have to take my bumper off. I have big hands too and I was able to just barely squeeze through and get the job done. Thanks again.
Great video and in under 5 minutes!!! I was looking for videos like this but most took too long. Your video showed everything I needed and you made it look so easy. This is a perfect example of a DIY video....Quick and easy to do! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to make this video that I'm sure will help so many others! 😀👍
Thank you! I've changed the entire headlights and know what a pain that is. I didn't think this would work because I have big hands, but it worked like a charm and I was done in just a couple of minutes!
Dude, what the heck?! This video was like having a cheat code for video games, totally made it easy. My light has been out for over a month due to the inconvenience of all the work but this here is what I’m talking about. Thanks a million.
I think it was the high beam, but both lights are easy to access. I was more focused on keeping my fingers off the bulbs. Heard the oil from your fingers can mess up the bulb. It was easy man, go for it and save the money.@@colbeybruney1917
Thank You Brother, You Are My Hero!!! I watched and tried several other videos for replacing headlight bulbs on my 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Most had too many steps. I tried your way and had both low beam bulbs removed and replaced in less than 10 mins. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!
He did it that way car if ur light hasn’t been out of the cuz before there is a bolt behind the side of the bumper that will need to be losing before the light will come out even removing the top two bolts won’t let the light come out if the bottom isn’t lose
memphis0 yeah man cause I need to replace a DRL and gonna upgrade my highs and lows while I’m at it,but even one removing the whole damn front end damn near and I’m not doing all that crap I’ll ride with a light out lol
HUGE Thumbs Up!!! Something was telling me it was this easy. Took me under three minutes. All the other videos show you have to loosen all the screws. Thank you for taking the time to post. I'm going to share the link.
These come from the factory with a screw in the lower outside of the assembly. You have to go into through the wheel well to access it. Someone left them out or broke the tabs on the vehicle.
This video is very helpful I had to change my low beam which is a little tighter to reach so I unplugged the connection first then screwed the bulb out, screwed the new bulb back in then reconnected the wire.
I just changed both my low beams today. I was able to pull it out a bit just enough to fit my hand. But i did and im a 50 yr old woman 😂. So proud of myself.
This video is spot on! From the time I found my 10 mm socket it took me no longer than 10 minutes to change the driver's side high beam bulb. Yeah...it was a little tight. I have normal hands for a male. Thanks "repairED" Jeff D
First time having to do this saw others taking out side well and some even taking out grills this was literally 5 mins and I didn't fuck it up awesome video thanks brother.
Other way you see with the wheel well and grill being loosened is technically how GM wants you to do it but you would have to be a moron to not try this way first.
When I loosen those two my light won’t pop out. I’ve tried and tried. It’s like it’s stuck on the right hand side. Any tips or trips to get it lose. I’ve tried it and afraid I’m going to break it. It’s a 2011
Good video, man. But for those attempting the "quick way" like this, it won't be feasible if you have big hands with little dexterity. You'll need dexterity and patience if you want to attempt this, but it CAN BE DONE if you can get your hand down there.
The early model 2000s you have to remove the grill, great engineering GM congratulations. Later models are supposed to have a pin that you turn just turn the pain in the light housing all comes right out
You have some small hands. My Tahoe also has a side 10mm screw that was behind the wheel liner. There is NO way i'd of fit my hands in there without undoing that. Good video though. straight, to the point, no long random discussion.
I watched because I thought I was doing something wrong and when you said take off the whole bumper said let me get my extra large hand in there and make it happen.
One more question . Is it possible to replace a H11 bulb with a LED "bulb" ? There are reflectors for near and fare lights . What will be the result ? Better or worse ...??
Great video I just wanted to find out how you replace the bulbs because my sister Vehicle just had a Bad Buld Lowbeam and I Going to try and replace it for her Thank you for making this Vid. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🤗⛈🤗🤗👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
There are THREE attach points to the headlight assembly; the two that you removed AND one inside the fender well, which you probably broke pulling on the assembly.
Well I’m about to go give it a try. If it works for me you just saved me 150 bucks that they were trying to charge me at the dealership and 100 that the guy on the corner was trying to charge me... and that was the price even though I already have the bulb. 😒
Theres a 3rd bolt to the headlight in the fender well... If u remove the top 2 and pull the light out, then u broke the clip where that 3rd bolt is.......just saying
Where were you when I needed someone to help me with doing my 07 headlights. Low beams. The dealership I went to did it wrong. They forced the headlights housing in wrong, and the bulb wasn't even in properly. And they wanted to charge me for their wrongful work.
So this guy didn’t mention that there’s actually a third screw on the side that you have to remove the splash shield in the wheel well four as well as slightly remove the bumper. If you want careful when pulling it out and you forget to take out the screw like this guy did you’ll end up like me and the headlight housing wobble eighth of an inch
Thank you so much for this! Dealer quoted $140 for bulb replacement. Did it myself in 3 min. $32 for bulb. Take that dealership!
This dude was the most simple replacement u-tube of all! It worked like a charm on my 08 avalanche! thank you!
Be aware: the video is replacing the HIGH BEAM BULB (inner bulb) and most drivers will be replacing their regular (low beam, OUTTER bulb).
He changed both of them
Both bulbs are available. I do it this way as well. Works great.
I never comment on videos but I can't tell you how much I appreciate this video. I saw the other ones about going in through the wheel well and taking off the bumper and I thought I may as well just take it to the garage...

this is awesome! my husband is gone so I came across your video to help me and it was so it easy. thanks

What kind of bulbs tho ? Is there a specific size or brand ?
Thanks a lot for the video.... I spend more time going to the autoparts than I spent replacing the bulb.
Thank you. Quick and fast and very informative. Also, no reason for a person is not able to do this themselves, as you can do it with one hand.
Thank You, it helped me change the bulb when stopped at a hotel on the way home.
Dude, what the heck?! This video was like having a cheat code for video games, totally made it easy. My light has been out for over a month due to the inconvenience of all the work but this here is what I’m talking about. Thanks a million.
Thanks man! Just finished. It took me 10 mins to complete, with 5 of those mins being spent looking for my ratchet set. Thanks again
Did you replace the high beam or low beam? The low beam looks a little.bit harder to get to
I think it was the high beam, but both lights are easy to access. I was more focused on keeping my fingers off the bulbs. Heard the oil from your fingers can mess up the bulb. It was easy man, go for it and save the money.@@colbeybruney1917

appreciate this!!! i watched this other dudes video and he was taking the wheel well apart and going in from there to unbolt stuff HAHAHAHA
@@marcusmullis6076 dude seriously went in through the wheel well to change his light bulb.
On god just for a fucking light bulb lmao I ain’t tearing apart no bumper and wheel well and all this shit
He did it that way car if ur light hasn’t been out of the cuz before there is a bolt behind the side of the bumper that will need to be losing before the light will come out even removing the top two bolts won’t let the light come out if the bottom isn’t lose
dubub6985 i’ve unbolted a few things on top and gave been able to get through like that... i should make a video?
memphis0 yeah man cause I need to replace a DRL and gonna upgrade my highs and lows while I’m at it,but even one removing the whole damn front end damn near and I’m not doing all that crap I’ll ride with a light out lol
This video really helped me get the lightbulb out I thought I really had to take the bumper off appreciate the video keep rockin
HUGE Thumbs Up!!!

This! If people do this they WILL break the lower tab on the headlight
THIS VIDEO HELPED ME A HELL OF A LOT!!! Just changed my bulb…only took 5 minutes…
This video is very helpful I had to change my low beam which is a little tighter to reach so I unplugged the connection first then screwed the bulb out, screwed the new bulb back in then reconnected the wire.
Good stuff bro. No b.s. straight to the point. You saved me A LOT of time. Thank you
Love it!
Took me about 10 minutes
Had a problem unhooking bulb, great tutorial on replacing bulb!
Thanks you saved me $100 bucks
I just changed both my low beams today. I was able to pull it out a bit just enough to fit my hand. But i did and im a 50 yr old woman 😂. So proud of myself.

1st time to comment on any video, fast, to the point, great, thank you!!!
The clips on my 2009 were on the sides but other than that, it was exactly the same. Great video. To the point.
Just replaced the bulbs on a 2014 Tahoe, big time thank you!!
💯👍👍
Thank you! I was about to start breaking stuff to get these changed!
Thanks for the instruction. Saved me a lot of time and money.
I almost pulled my washer fluid reservoir and anything else in my way thanks for the tip my dude!
First time having to do this saw others taking out side well and some even taking out grills this was literally 5 mins and I didn't fuck it up awesome video thanks brother.

Very cool.
My 5yr old and I got it done within 20mins once we found the 10mm tool.
Good learning day.
Thanks alot here in 2021 and it still works.
That god that you uploaded this!!!! Thanks man!!!!
thanks for making this video was very easy to install light bulb, much appreciate !!!
Great video!! Helped out a lot easy and simple the way you explained it!! Thanks!
I was just about to take the entire front clip off the Tahoe because I assumed it was like my wife's Cadillac...thank you.
thanks for this.. took me less than 10 mins!

Did you loosen the bolt behind the wheel well?
Thanks man!!! In my 2002 model it was much easyer and I had plenty of space to do the job ! ;))
Thanks for Video very helpful, Saved me a lot of time
The early model 2000s you have to remove the grill, great engineering GM congratulations. Later models are supposed to have a pin that you turn just turn the pain in the light housing all comes right out
"Thank You" for this video it was helpful.
Thanks 5 mins done saved 125 plus tax at shop
Do you need to disconnect the battery or no? Just asking
You have some small hands. My Tahoe also has a side 10mm screw that was behind the wheel liner. There is NO way i'd of fit my hands in there without undoing that. Good video though. straight, to the point, no long random discussion.
Appreciate the video man. Very helpful and not too long.
I watched because I thought I was doing something wrong and when you said take off the whole bumper said let me get my extra large hand in there and make it happen.
Thank you. Much easier than opening wheel well.
Pro tip: install the new bulb first into the light assembly, then make the electrical connection.
Thank you so much! Not hard at all!
One more question . Is it possible to replace a H11 bulb with a LED "bulb" ? There are reflectors for near and fare lights . What will be the result ? Better or worse ...??

Nice and fast way to do it
Thanks for the video 🤙🏼 very helpful
Thanks for the video.
Да брат, болт сбоку фары не ослаблял? Думаю креплению кранты
Thank you very much!!!
Thank you super easy 🙏
There are THREE attach points to the headlight assembly; the two that you removed AND one inside the fender well, which you probably broke pulling on the assembly.
Does this work for replacing the daytime running lights or just high and low beam?
both.
Both just replaced my low beam driver side.
Thank you for this
Before you put it back turn on lights to be sure they are working.
Thank you sir!
Well I’m about to go give it a try. If it works for me you just saved me 150 bucks that they were trying to charge me at the dealership and 100 that the guy on the corner was trying to charge me... and that was the price even though I already have the bulb. 😒
Thank you that was awesome
Nice..! I will try...
This is a pain in the ass to do, but thanks for this video
All these videos want to show me how to replace the bulbs, what about the entire light assembly? How do you remove the light assembly?
Thanks! We did it😁
Thanks man great
Theres a 3rd bolt to the headlight in the fender well... If u remove the top 2 and pull the light out, then u broke the clip where that 3rd bolt is.......just saying
Good job man 🫡
Thank you!
Folks there is a bolt that you can get to by going in the driver side Tire well and loosen it about five turns without fully removing the bolt
Where were you when I needed someone to help me with doing my 07 headlights. Low beams.
The dealership I went to did it wrong. They forced the headlights housing in wrong, and the bulb wasn't even in properly.
And they wanted to charge me for their wrongful work.

Thanks big hommie
I didn’t hear. Wat kind of socket

You cannot touch halogen bulbs with bare hands, do this, swell up and fail.

Good Video🙌🏽
good video
Thank you sir
Any one knows the number for the low and hi beam>>??
