@@BaroneVitellioScarpia1 Mi piace il colore della sua voce e suona naturale e non ingolato, direi che è un bravo baritono 👍👏 Ma Petti e Lagvilava sono i migliori del 21esimo secolo!
Besides the Count's high F sharp in "Hai gia vinta la causa", this is a very tricky high note for us. It's right there above the second passaggio above E above Middle C and it's on an open [AH] vowel which is counterproductive against the rules of NOT opening up there. Truly a great compilation that truly deserved it's place. My list of my favorite baritones singing them: 1. Granforte -- uncannily perfect attack and what an even vibrato for a big baritone to have! I also like Ruffo, Galeffi, Silveri, Bastianini and Petti’s high F sharp. Very few baritones can sing both Count and Gerard, Count is usually sung by a low baritone or a bass-baritone (like George London), but Gerard is a high baritone role.
@@BaroneVitellioScarpia1 I don't know if its higher than the Count (I mean the first act aria Son sessantani does go up to explosive F#s out of nowhere) but the rest of the role seems to be your typical verismo baritone role -- big, dramatic, meaty middle singing.
