I like the idea. Am looking for something for just myself (120 lbs) to row around the lakes. I'd need something I can fit in my car (so a bit shorter), something I can set up alone, one seat would do it, 2 would be ok, and a huge bonus would be a way to create some shade. I know there are kayaks that fold, but I prefer a small rowboat. Doesn't have to be rock solid, just keep me and my stuff dry while exploring. I saw you have a smaller boat coming, so will check back later.

I live 1 hour from the sea, have no space to store a boat, if a canopy tent and outboard motor could be fitted this would be perfect for transportation

If it was that easy. One folding boat is the same as another. :-)

It is that easy. Just look at all the different banana boats. Basically, near copies of the original Portabote from the 70's. The odd change here and there, seat placement, color, accessories, size, etc. but still the same old banana boat
And this one is about $2000 more expensive, hehehe

I will use the theory of banana boats next time I look at items of difference. Enjoy your boating.

You don't know much about boats do you? only what you see on-line.

FYI, it's called a banana boat because of it's resemblance to the ridges along the fold lines which is similar to a banana

Great Improvement, i don't see it like a bad thing by taking something and making it better, thats evolution, the only problem is money(capitalism) breaking this wheel. Keep up the great work, i would like to see this selling here in Brazil, it would be perfect solution for me.

Why is it there are plenty of assembly videos? Let then pack the boat away in the same time. This is really a joke as they failed to show the time it took to unpack the boat. I guess they bought the boat delivered in open packages.

you know if you made it so you could fold it down the middle and put it in a little bag you could 100% sell this at walmarts sporting goods you dont even need alot of the extra parts a box that folds in 5 places and that bar to help hold it in place be a perfect little raft for any adventure for the family its the size of some chairs in bags i got if folded better and honestly be a really cool thing to see sold at walmart or sporting goods stores something that can hold 300 pounds max be real cool actually as something that size i couldnt see fitting someone bigger anyway
