I chose VOO but one of my friends has VTI. Lets see who will have the higher returns after 30+ years 😂. He's been invested about 4-5 years longer than me though.
Performance is similar in both. If one is leading another in terms of returns, it is minimal like less than 1 percent in most cases. For 2023, the difference is mere 0.12 percent. I hold vti.
Hi @@NolanGouveia, I’m new in investing for S&P 500 just started months back. would appreciate your help on below to ease my concern in investing for long run: Between SPLG and VOO, may I understand better the advantage of going for VOO over SPLG in long run? As the price difference per unit between the 2 is so big, Thanks!
I hold SCHD as a core holding in my portfolio, I use the core/satellite approach with my portfolio set up. I've been tempted to add SCHB to compliment SCHD so I have a little bit more tech exposure with my portfolio. Love your stuff and always look forward to your uploads and shorts!
SCHD is my only ETF, and I do appreciate how much pharmaceuticals was in the top 10. But tech isn't represented well until you hit #11 -- Texas Instruments. I will have to check out SCHB. Thanks!
@joshsantos9965 Really? I find such as FNCL, FHLC and all the other Fidelity sector ETFs very profitable. When I do comparisons, rarely does another platform's products do as well.
professor g are you bullish on crypto? im thinking about putting a very small portion of my portfolio in btc, eth, and a few alt coins. im 19 so figured i can take the risk because i have so much time to make it up. the other 99% of my portfolio is in qqqm and voo.
Isn't VTI like 80% VOO and 20% the rest of the US market? So basically, you'd have a ton of overlap, and also that remaining 20% usually doesn't perform as well, so VOO ends up performing better than VTI. That's why I go with the S&P500 instead of the Total US market
I hold VTI on my taxable brokerage accounts and schd and O for my Roth I have VOO and international stock 😊
Heck ya!!
Would you share your international stock ?

Haha I like it!

How to buy Voo from Schwab account? Beginning here
Also SPLG 💪
Yes!
That one feels more approachable to me. Started buying it recently.

SPY is crushing SCHD by 22.5% this year!
@torchy187 can't judge things off short term performance. It's beating it this year yes, but over last 10 years they are neck and neck.

@@torchy187and SPY lost more than SCHD last year! What's your point?
I appreciate the kind feedback and support!
I hold QQQ for my personal which is only about 5% of my total portfolio its my hail merry account
Cool! I’m in the right path then 😊
🙌🙌
Hello sir question for you my guy, is the ETF like FXAIX similar also to the other ones like SPY and VOO as well?
Yes it is similar and FXAIX is a mutual fund, not an etf but basically the same thing
@@NolanGouveia okay, gotcha 👌 👍
What about the equivalent Fidelity ETFs?

I like a very small portion in crypto. I’m bullish on bitcoin and ETH yes
Would you do a video on VT?😊
Sure!
VOO for liiiife
Yesss
Why do you look for an ETF that tracks the SPY instead of just going with the SPY?
Which symbol is the SPY itself besides the ETF?
I used to always think time in the market beat timing the market…. Not anymore
Vfiax, same as the ETF only the actual index
Yup true!
IVV FOR LIFE😊
Guys, voo current price is $417, how would you invest if your monthly invesment amount is only 500, u can't buy 1.2 shares of VOO, can you?
M1 finance does fractional shares
Fidelity also allows fractional share purchases.
I am with Schwab SWPPX which is like voo and 74 bucks a share.
Bitcoin ETF soon 😮
Ya that’ll be interesting!
I hold sphd
Nice!
Is there any reason why NOT to invest in both VOO and VTI? Any benefit to having all your money in one instead of splitting it into both?

It’s not necessarily a negative but it’s just redundant
Show us your portfolio. Cause you like way to many ETFs 😂😂
