Love it, though it did make me tear up a little as we just lost our 19 year old cat last week -& home was very much anywhere she was too, she even came on holidays with us & loved walking on the beach 😿💙

But there's also the point that meeting an extra terrestrial civilisation could indicate our doom because of the great filter?
The hope would be that extraterrestrial colonisers wouldn't behave like our colonisers and would try to preserve us, maybe? That it wouldn't be a mining expedition for resources, but a quest for knowledge.
But the motivation to expand beyond a planet would probs be one of scarcity. So... Fingers crossed they have what they need, ey.
@@Activemeasures2023 It can't be, just look at humanity that is stuck in delusions of nations, borders, property, money... the entire money/market religion, that needs infinite growth of demand and labor on a finite planet just to preserve human labor, to preserve incomes, to preserve consumption, to preserve demand, to preserve jobs, to preserve incomes and so on into infinity and beyond, they wouldn't make it further from their planet than humanity just shooting scarce resources into space with built in planned obsolescence, with the "Whitey On The Moon" thinking it isn't possible to come further than that. It needs a real economy first, a obviously resources based economy since this is the bottleneck and the reason why an economy is necessary and not just some nice to have.
