I still vividly remember listening to elegy for extinction sitting at work. I left home early so I could listen to the whole album before I started my day. It’s late spring and as the song starts to go into turmoil it’s snowing. Coming down like a blizzard. It’s April in the Midwest USA. It gave me complete goosebumps and still does to this day.
I’m loving how these films remind us that the voice and message of Shikari is the voice of the band as a whole. It’s easy to feel it’s the voice of Rou as songwriter and vocalist, so these serve a valuable purpose.
I believe in the future after watching. And full of motivation to participate in the process of helping our planet. Thanks you all!

Truly inspiring in these uncertain times
Truly amazing what you have accomplished with Elegy for Extinction, it's terrifying to think about the climate emergency and even more terrifying when I realise our extent of ignorance towards it. I understand that people have their grievances towards groups like Extinction Rebellion and their controversial ways of sending a message, but it really is an emergency.
The urgency is completely nesecary for our survival, but I really don't think the majority of the world and leading contributors are ever going to take action until it's too late. I'm just grateful I got to live in the timeline where Shikari exist! Love you lads with everything I have🖤

I love you guys so much! It's great to have a band taking action and addressing all the problems that humans have created. Nobody's perfect (I'm sitting here in Greece on holidays, flew in here from Germany) but we can all do our part in different ways. Keep it up

That recording engineer did well lol. Going to shows and events is how you do it. Good for him. UBI is the answer in my mind. Automate, fund AI R&D, shift plants to nuclear/green from fossil, shift cars to electric, have people work less and provide UBI, reduce red meat consumption, fund mass transit. These can happen, we can do these things...our leaders don't want this. They want DOOM. The reduction in cars on the road thanks to Covid has helped. PMA.
These are amazing. What really annoys me is there are people who listen ES or to bands with a similar focus and message but they completely ignore it.

I'm curious to know how Rou wrote Elegy. Did he write all the music sheets? Or did he use synths etc on a computer programm?
Are you guys in contact with Peter Joseph? I could imagine some kind of collab. Saw his book on your shelf Rou and i know your affiliations with the Zeitgeist Movement. The Left (especially the anarchist left), Green Movements, TZM and TVP all need to work and grow together, so that we could end this madness and create a better world for everyone in accordance with nature.
