      That's not actually from the 80's though, these styles were popular centuries ago. The 80's just took it from there and made it a little different 😉. And yes, fashion always comes back

    Thank you for the free pattern! I've been loving big sleeves lately. all my projects have been including them! Also, the shirring so much fun! I learned how to do it a while ago, its much more comfortable and satisfying than trying to fuss with a piece of elastic.

      Trina Ainu'u Heyy I don’t know how things are in your region, but generally you want to use very sharp scissors that you’re then only using for fabric and nothing else (paper dulls scissors). I got my scissors from ikea :)

    This is perfect timing as I was planning to make a puff sleeve blouse... For the shirring, the bobbin is obviously threaded with the shirring elastic, but what about the top stitch? Am I threading the machine with shirring elastic or normal thread? Haha, sorry if the question is a bit dumb but I've never done this before.

      It’s a good question! I just used normal thread in the machine and just the shirring elastic on the bobbin 😊

    Question; can I do the shearing (is that what it is called?) effect in dress 1 by gathering the fabric and not shearing it? Will it not work and literally not ruffle the sleeve?

      Good question! It might be worth a try, but it won’t ruffle as nicely as the shirring elastic I don’t think 😊

    How well does your rosery apparel pattern work for american plus sizes?

      Not sure what the difference between American and Australian sizes is, but there are measurements in the pattern listing so you can check what size will be right for you 😊

    Your pattern is nice but why separate 2-14 and 14-24? It's already pricey as it is, it should include all the sizes.
