I always come back to this video. Their voices together are so beautiful, especially the harmonies Phoebe does. When the guitar stops and they sing “I’m not sure what the trouble was that started all of this, the reasons all have run away but the feeling never did” ❤️
If you haven't checked out Better Oblivion Community Center I highly recommend you do. It's an album they did together and honestly might be my favorite album ever
Loading up my shot of dope for the day listening to this . . . Practically in tears . . . "We might die from medication but we sure killed all the pain" . . . SO good
Hope things are better, man.. whomever/wherever you are. Try and keep in mind, and remind your friends too: You can always do more in a short..but you cain't un-do, once you've did too much. Utter peace, Ty.
@@billepperson2662 That's great, man! The dope scene is horrid in the US. Basically playing guinea pig and russian roulette with what they are serving now. I'm a year off H/Fent.. Hang in there!
Man I saw an interview with Conor within the last year and he wasn't looking great. His skin was bad, he had jowls and face was puffy. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought it was just aging. But seeing him here 3 years ago and he looked great. I hope his demons aren't raging again. The said, this is one of my favorite songs from "Im wide awake, it's morning." And that is definitely in my top 5 albums of the decade. This is a great cover, I'd like to hear them cover "Landlocked blues."
His name is Miwi La Lupa…also a really great songwriter and folk singer himself. I think he and Conor go way back and I’ve seen him on tour with Conor for a few years on and off. Sometimes he plays a Bass VI or a baritone guitar for lower end stuff on stripped down arrangements like this
conor's little speech at the beginning.... :') i am so glad she helped him to sing it again it's one of my favourite bright eyes songs
If elliott smith was still here this would be his favourite band
Holy crap yeah...
Best comment ever. I miss him Elliott so much, truly beautiful music.
i was thinking the same thing
I WAS JUST THINKING MAYN... ELLIOT SMITH WOULD LOVE THIS
100%
I have heard this song too many times to count and Phoebe just made it brand new to me again. A voice like hers doesn't come along often.
I now hear it as two people singing to one another.
And neither does a a voice like Conor's!
try this one... ruclips.net/video/htB4lsoXfVI/видео.html
happened with me as well
AGREED WHOLEHEARTEDLY!!!
phoebes last line singing simple in the moonlight fucking killed me. gorgeous.
Each line did but that one was the cherry indeed👌❤

Their voices complement each other so well 🖤
