Visiting the Equator Monument in Pontianak, Indonesia

We fly to the island of Borneo, to the capital of Kalimantan: Pontiniak. From there, we take a short drive to the EQUATOR!!!!

Hi jason, it's great to see you coming to Tugu Khatulistiwa (equator monument)... I recommend you to visit by 21-23 March/September, there will be festival that's called as peak of culmination, you will have no shadow at 12.00 AM while standing up around there... You can imagine how hot the weather will be...

We built the monument decades ago with old technology. Now that I think about it the land that located on the real equator is a prime real estate.
