Anyone getting into this business dont be scared to go in person or call these customers directly to work with them...Also if you do make deliveries at these customers warehouses ask for the freight/logistics manager and ask them if you're able to get them pricing on lanes and start the conversation that way. You gotta think outside the box if you're gonna make it.. Youll be saving them money and you're more reliable than them working with a broker. Also you will cut out a dispatcher.. I was a broker for 7 years and recently started the process to work for myself. Goodluck all and anything worth having takes hardwork and consistency and you'll be right where you need to be.
Thank you Anthony. I used to be a warehouse worker & then a forklift driver. Being a forklift driver and loading trucks that’s when I knew I rather be on the road. I love what I do and the freedom that comes with running a business.
Man you really about to make me pulled the trigger on doing this. I been wanting too. Just got laid off a few weeks back. I have around 30k saved up so lucky Im not starving but I dont want to put my life in another man or woman hands anymore who runs companies to the ground than the workers have to pay for it by being laid off. 2nd time being laid off in my career. There want be a 3rd.
I’m sorry to hear that brother! That’s a whole lot! You can do very well if you establish your business correctly. That’s more than enough, I didn’t even had the whole $5,000 to buy my first van. But here I am!
@@Tony.Ruiz08 appreciate you g. No doubt and you keep on grinding and getting better and leaving up in this trucking space and life in general. And keep making these videos it helping a lot of people
Hey I’m in the south jersey/ central jersey is it any way I can pick your brain maybe a ride along. I’m thinking about starting one. I’m trying to figure out what path to take. I was thinking expedite
Hi Tony, thank you for this amazing tips. I’m in the process already. Having worked for corporate America as well as government, but after the plandemic many things changed. I consider myself capable of managing my own business, I’m a workaholic and got tired of giving my talents and hard work to others. God bless! By the way, I hold a CDL also 😅
Thank you for your videos, I'm very interested in doing my own business. Next year, I'll be doing this with God favor. I'm working on shipping right now but ready to do the next step.
My sacrifice is quiting my job of 8 years and going for this. I have a decent job make around 65k-72k a year but theirs no way up. I have around 80k in my 401k and when I leave I’m gonna take that out(not the smartest thing to do) I’ll only get 50k of it but that 50k will help me start up my business
Always do your proper research, have a backup plan, some financial Cushing in case anything goes wrong and don’t rush into things. Make sure the demand is in your area as well as location is very important. Other than that, I started out with $2500 so 50-80k it’s plenty to start!
Love the information, I'm new to your channel and not sure if you answered this question. Do you have to get commercial insurance and commercial registration
I just need to know the name of the company you're driving for. Ive had my van for a year now and get some local gigs...but looking to expand on some contract work!!! To scale my business and hire a driver or two

I'm looking to get into this business. Is there any amount in mind for money to have in reserve that you would recommend? Lets say we wanted to finance the car and wanted 6 months to make sure we could get the business up and running.
N A I L E D I T !!!! "Easy money, little work" yes ! Lots of people think that unfortunately. No work and fast money, which is not the case. As far as hiring bad drivers, a fellow owner operator just got kicked off by progressive because their drivers got into too many accidents😩... sad You said nothing but the T R U T H !

Awesome video brother, I have a question, in the states of the new jersey do you need a cdl for this type of business?
Thanks Mario, no CDL needed to drive these vans.

Most of the time. If you get contracts it’ll depend on who you get with and what they are requiring.
Great content. How do you pay a hired driver and do you use any apps or automation to do so.
You can pay them per day. Weekly or biweekly. Whatever you and the driver agrees too. 50/50 & 40/60 is the way I see most people split pay.
Thank you so much.
