This just proves that piloting a titan is a skillcheck for how well you can dodge, all the Stryder-chassis (3 health) AIs were programmed to actually maneuver and survived for much longer
We all like to think if we were in the titanfall world, we'd be a badass pilot, taking names and living to fight another day. But we'll all most like end up like this poor soldier 2:50
4:56 well that was a akward moment for that pilot missing by a mile his ultimate attack to the drone that it just went for a quick attack without having to look at it xD
Having 50% more health or armor means a stream of damage takes 50% longer to kill you. Dodging the damage means it’s somewhere between 0% longer to “until you die of old age”
Sucks that this game no longer has support (updates, major expansions) whereas Apex Legends does. Titanfall 2 wouldn’t have failed if their marketing teams before its initial launch were competent enough to actually advertise the game. Or better yet, if it hadn’t been sandwiched between CoD and BF1. Titanfall 2’s failure is ultimately self inflicted. In an alternative timeline, its success would’ve brought upon a third installment for the franchise. And what’s crazy about this game was that it’s in the Source Engine too.
While it sucks that Titanfall didn’t get as much attention as it should have, it releasing in between 2 major games was mostly due to EA and after cod and battlefield took all the hype EA decided that Titanfall was a disappointment
The publishers put it between battlefield and cod, then when it undersold the company went near bankrupt and was bought out. No faults falls within the devs as it was most likely done purposely in order to get another studio under their name, of course there’s to way to confirm this so you can say it’s just some schizo conspiracy but most of the evidence seems like it was purposeful
I always found it very cool that as a match of attrition progressed the Grunts would adapt with the match, getting Anti-titan weapons further in to take on heavy armor
@@tecno-killer7702 He lost his whole squadron, saw them get slaughtered one by one, took a deep breath, locked the fuck in and decided he gonna be the main character
Seems like every winning Titan's key to success was taking the Reapers out early. Those things were absolutely chunking the Titans, and almost all the losers had at least one Reaper still active when they went down.
Yeah...these things are nasty, i sometimes take them out before enemy titans cause they have A TON of dps. And then they can spawn walking kamikadze things...
I think this kinda goes to show how important positioning and cover is in this game. I see a lot of titans just stand there and tank like the AI is here, and here it’s showing how they get melted doing that. Makes me wish titanfall AI tried doing stuff like using cover and moving while they shoot rather than holding their position and tanking bullets.
Kinda defeats the purpose of being a mech if you cannot take damage to the face. That is as if Superman would just dodge all attacks as opposed to purposefully making them bounce of his chest - not as impactful or iconic
I mean, they live up to their name yeah? It seems they take heavy losses, but at the same time theyre out in the open In reality squadrons like these would be bunkered down in abandoned buildings or behind cover Being smaller means you can slip under their gaze pretty well Then, when the time is right, they spring out and Hammer their target from everywhere at once, since the jump pack gives them a lot of mobility, they could quickly jump out of their position after each shot to gain different vantage points while the two reavers act as distractions Aiming for the legs, the Vision Cams (or S.e.a.r kit Cores if the chassis is a monarch or something similar to BT), joints, missile pods, their handheld weapons, all those critical spots and that titan is either Crippled or straight Crumbles
If scorch stands close distance instead of middle, none of NPCs will survive. In multiplayer my Auto+ sometimes have more kills then worst pilots in both teams…
We'll never get an epic campaign with ai enemies and allies of this level again. All modern games are just the same glitchy broken open worlds with nothing but the same repetitive, grindy mission types to do over and over again. Oh and let's not forget blueprints. Plus all this cool, epic stuff happened in the past but you weren't there for it and they couldn't be bothered to animate any of it so they hid the story in notes scattered everywhere.
Why was there a pilot on the ground? They have AI too? Also I didn't know there were strider, atlas and ogre in Titanfall 2 (even if different from the original ones)
Maybe thats model is just overwrite data from file titanfall 1 to titanfall 2 thats why code name is atlas(basic tree to be sub variant series like vanguard class tone, ion), ogre(is basic tree to be scorch), strider (tree basic frame to be northstar and ronin)
Man, these titans suck. They can't dodge, shoot like stormtroopers, and employ the worst strategy ever conceived... standing in the open hoping to outlive the enemy reload cycle. You'd think super advanced battle bots as big as buildings would have combat AI with the ability to beat lvl1 of Frogger.
Shoutout my lone soldier messing up that Atlas Titan
Atlas? This is Titanfall 2. Did you mean a Tone. Or a Vanguard? Not trying to do an *erm actually* 🤓, just trying to figure out what you actually saw.

It seems that the ability to dodge slow attacks can be more effective than having armor to absorb them.
True that
Having 50% more health or armor means a stream of damage takes 50% longer to kill you.
Dodging the damage means it’s somewhere between 0% longer to “until you die of old age”
