In a lot of games enemy ai are better. For example, CoD (every game) where the allies dont do anything unless you bullet sponge forward. Star Wars Battlefront (every game), Brink had abysmal ally ai, TMNT3, and RE Outbreak.
@aveteranplayer6403 Sorry to say this, but you are incorrect on your first sentence. Every CoD had respawning enemies and it stopped on BO2 and a few more after that. That's why the fanbase were saying on the forums how bad the infinite respawning enemy mechanic was.
One common reason for this I see is that friendly AI tends to have a priority to follow the player, Whereas enemy AI acts more freely, so you often get a lot of situations where the friendly AI is making very poor decisions just based on trying to stay near to the player. In these AI battle scenarios, the player is usually set to neutral, so the friendly characters no longer have that disadvantage. When you’re playing games with friendly NPCs, it can occasionally be useful to try to put your friendly NPCs into an advantageous position.
@aveteranplayer6403 In Call of Duty, at least in a lot of those games, both friendly and enemy NPCs are set to respawn, but the player pushes those spawn points forward when they advance.
@@deriznohappehquite That's not how it works though. Every game has scripts. When the player passes an invisible line then the script may change the spawning. You aren't running to their spawn points because remember, they spawn anywhere your eye can't see... even corners 2cm away from you.
It's hard to do AI right. COD does a good job of making the illusion of good AI by having them follow scripted events activated by the player, with some light improv between them. But getting AI to react and respond to their environment without making them either braindead or all-knowing is tough. You can wind up with oblivious enemies with a 40 degree FOV and earmuffs on, or you can wind up with the Halo 2 Jackal snipers, who acquire you in less than a second, and always headshot. And that's because the AI have the advantage of being fed objective information while the player has to interpret the information based on observation. I think Alien Isolation did it best where they have an all-knowing "director" AI, that feeds limited information to the alien, which is a separate AI that responds to that information. More games should do something like that. And have AI move in teams that work together. That's pretty cool too.
I'm pretty sure Left 4 Dead did the same as the latter, at least judging by the description. There was a 'gamemaster' so to speak that sent in Infected based on what the players were doing and directed the zombies as a result. It was super cool learning about it back in the day as I haven't heard of such before then.
7:59 is how is wish gunfights in far cry 6 were, ubisoft have the tendency of making resistance games where you barely see the resistance doing stuff outside of gunfights between one and two of them or story missions
It’s certainly not possible to get clips from this, but the AI in Killzone 2/3 specifically in the story. The allied NPCs are actually capable of pushing on their own if the game allows it.
If you enjoy videos like this I'd honestly recommend The Forever Winter, if you can look past its janky ass movement and some rough edges it's basically this video but in video game format. Hopefully with some work and time the devs will smoothen it all out.
the shot for halo 3 goes hard af
Man had that spartan strength in his feet
(There's lil bars where unsc troops slide under)
That was the famous marine chips dubbo!
CHIPS DUBBO
There's sometimes that i think the enemy NPC is more accurate and best in combat that the Friendly NPC, then i see a one soldier do a rambo XD

Most games ai battles: some movement and cover usage, with plenty of shooting in-between.
Least epic ai battle in Halo 3: 0:54
0:54 the human spirit in action folks
I Love the Titanfall 2 AI as they do look as if they are working together as one to fight
Fr
Titanfall 2's "fights you aren't paying attention to" are one of my favorite things about it.
You can tell that the Halo clips are the favorite, with the amount of time put into them and the length
the unsc marine at 0:59 was like I'm still standing fool
0:56 This is the hardest shot in history!
The way cinematic fighting never gets old

I love insurgency ai, it can vary from " he's right Infront of you, what are you doing?!" To "average war with US and you are not on the US side"
The alife in stalker is just awesome, it truly makes the world feel alive, and the ai arent half bad

What's the Halo 3 metal soundtrack???
It's Niklas Johansson - Call Of The North
I am going to be honest, Prey was the best game but also the most creepiest and confusing in terms of story. But it was a lot of fun!
0:15 Right ear go BRRRRTTT
No Angels Fall First?
To be fair it is difficult to follow the actions of the AI.
0:54 unsc's weakest marine:
Insurgency sandstorm AI can go from bullet magnet fools to actual smart Insurgent fighters
0:16 the npc really want to get kill and clueless walk backward
Hey NPC Universe, you should check out The Forever Winter.
Their gameplay entirely revolves around AI battles.
