Septums are incredibly painless and are amazing to heal when pierced in the sweet spot, I think even having it for a little while is so worth it. I’ve had mine done for a year and the easiest piercing I’ve had, just above a tongue piercing

Id say its permanent to those who dont heal fast. First time i got my lips peirced i had them in since i was 18. Took them out when i was around 21 bc my son kept trying to rip them out when he was a baby and i have a weird healing ability that if i take out my piercings longer then 5 mins (doesnt matter how long ive had them.) The holes will close over. Ive had to repeirce my ears myself when taking them out to clean. Ive had to repeirce my lips bc they just close over. Im the only one in my family that has this issue and it really sucks

Yeah, it depends on the person. And when the answer to "Will it heal completely?" is "maybe" then referring to it as permanent by default is the correct thing to do.

The magnetic one was in the wrong place, put your fingers in the tips of your nose, and pinch the middle just a tiny bit, and you’ll feel where there is no cartilage, and that’s where a septum ring would be.

As a girl who had a fake septum for 3 years before being allowed to have one my opinion they’re all way less comfortable than actually having one but the process was brutal for me I blacked out and threw up bc it was just a lot of cartilage and I hate needles but I’ve had it for almost 10 years now and the only thing that changed is when I itch my nose with my palm i definitely feel a bar there rather than how flexible it was before my nose can’t push up quite as much but I got use to that in the first year

Not always. Small holes will close for some people, but can also stay open, leave visible scarring or a little lump when healing. And obviously the larger the hole, the higher the chances of not closing completely again.

    • @skeletonwar4445

@@adysonrichardson7106 "Heal completely" just means that the body slowly replaces the exposed parts with new skin tissue.
If a wound is sufficiently large and goes through the body part entirely (like the hole of a larger piercing) then the healing will take place at the edges of the hole, it won't be filled in completely because the body doesn't need to.
If the piercing is the size of a needle, of course it's very likely that it'll close completely, but still not guaranteed.

My mom thought she was being clever saying yeah saying if i got one that wouldnt scar my face
I took her sarcasm as challenge accepted
Came home with a septum ring
Im now 32 and forget i have it ALL the time
It stays peirced and i haven't worn a ring in it for several years
Apparently im a trend setter 😂
I also did this with various other things before they became popular such as skinny jeans
I used to sew my own lol
I find it funny at how many people have a septum ring now smh
