    • @KayanOldac
      @KayanOldac 5 месяцев назад +50

      @DaveMiller741 not really the issue, more so how the record is poorly built with basically all plastic, the record is played at a slightly different speed, the tracking force is really wearing on the records meaning they're not going to last very long and it more than likely has a sapphire stylus which makes the record sound way worse. These mechanisms aren't horrible and can actually sound decent, but do have all of the above issues, I would recommend maybe getting a replacement stylus of a higher grade for starters.

    • @jackgreenstalk777
      @jackgreenstalk777 4 месяца назад +2

      @@DaveMiller741 the low quality speakers are even worse in person. The needle often damages records over time due to low quality materials used and lack of a fully supported platter beneath records adds to the issue making the needle dig worse on the outside of.the record (first few songs ware out fast). Also even on thrift shop cheap vinyls, had one stop working after a few months the electornics just all shorted out despite being plugged into a surge protector. Turned it on one final day and made a crackle pop and slight boom while light dimly died to never turn back on again😅 ymmv

      Enjoy your new player! Vinyl is something I love to collect and I hope you find a passion for it. If this becomes a hobby or passion consider upgrading to a Fluance or Audio Technica turntable as these are widely considered to be some of the best beginner to intermediate turntables. These will help your records last longer and stay in great shape. Happy spinning!

      You're speaking crap, mate. You're quite able to get adequate second-hand turntables which boast a counterweight and an anti-skate feature for the exact same prices as the Chineese model demonstrated. I'm well aware you'd require an amp and alike speakers.

      As a future beginner planning on getting my first turntable, with my research i'd recommend the Audio-Technica LP60X, quite well rated in the vinyl community, and not too pricey! Just remember to get the other equipment, such as an amp and speakers. Don't worry about the preamp, the ATLP60X has one built-in. Good luck dude! Wish you well, and always do your own research too!

    Amazon Record Player is unsurprisingly awful. Good entry level model, that’s it. I got a red cartridge player like this for Christmas a year ago to see if I liked collecting vinyl. Turns out I did so I upgraded to a better turntable a few months later, but that first suitcase player I owned completely destroyed my first couple records I bought. Good thing they were cheap
