Im so glad I got to witness Pujols, Yadi and Waino play together against the brewers last year. It makes me sad knowing I will never see all time cardinal greats on the field again. Players dont stay on teams their entire careers anymore. Im 31 and have watched them since I was 9. Cards 4ever!
Some do, guys like Kershaw seem to stay since the owners have deep pockets.
Such a standup guy & im so glad he got his 200th win after such a critical season (let alone for the Cardinals team as a whole).
Adam wainwright was a great pitcher for the cardinals and World Series champion great career .
He’ll end up in the hall. Congratulations waino
I don't know. I love Waino, but maybe......I certainly hope so!!!
By the time the writers get ahold of it in 10 plus years or whatever the man will get in. It could take some time but it’s gonna happen
@@TheChainChasers I really hope so man!
Cardinals Hall of Fame, not Cooperstown. If maybe not for his torn achiles injury that took him out of all 2015 maybe he would have.
I totally see Wainwright in the hall of fame
He's had a historically good career for one team, it more than likely will never happen again... the odds of a pitcher starting 300 games with a hall of fame catcher? Also winning 200 games? Nah that'll never happen again? You don't talk about 2004-2015 without mentioning Adam Wainwright in the history of baseball...
I'd love to see Waino stay around and be a broadcaster along with Jimmy.
It funny how that JD drew trade it famous to day.
JD Drew has a fascinating career, man. He probably is still terrified of going anywhere near Philadelphia or South Jersey. He also is one of the most unliked players in MLB history. Like all his teammates just called him lazy, HOF potential but just lazy
@genius179 really? I never went deep into his career that's interesting
Dude was elite for years, always in the conversation for Cy young got a good 5-6 year stretch. Hats off waino
Not according to voters who ranked him 3 of those 5-6.
STL fans should've given him the standing ovation treatment while he was struggling
we did
@@SealTeamSekc before or after we made him uninstall Twitter? 💀 STL fans were destroying him

I think the fact that only 2 other Cardinal pitchers in the franchise's entire history since 1882 have made it to 200 wins is worth celebrating. Even though this season has been abysmal for the Cardinals (and Waino), getting to that milestone is quite a feat, considering the average pitcher would love to reach 20 wins in a season (considered a great season in modern baseball).
-Two *career* Cardinals, as there have been many, many pitchers win 200 games who played with St Louis.
Hate that Mark Derosa got hurt with the Cardinals in 2009. He got hurt swinging on a check swing that season and was never the same.
if he and carpenter didnt split the cy young votes in 2009, no way lincecum wins it. i thought he had it won after that game vs colorado that mark mentioned.
More so the fact that Wainwright got more 1st place votes, yet finished 3rd. Carpenter's only contribution was the ERA, everything else was Wainwright and Lincecum.
Next year you better be ready 120-42 🎉
