Evelyn (Rachel Weisz) is surprised at her fighting skills as she and Rick (Brendan Fraser) fight off Lock-Nah (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and his men.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
This big-budget sequel from writer/director Stephen Sommers navigates much of the same cliffhanger territory as George Lucas and Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones franchise. It is 1933, eight years after the events of The Mummy (1999). Legionnaire Rick O'Connell Brendan Fraser has married his Egyptologist girlfriend Evelyn Carnahan (Rachel Weisz) and the couple has settled in London, where they're raising their young son Alex (Freddie Boath). The family's domestic tranquility is shattered when the 3,000-year-old mummified corpse of Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo), which has been shipped to the British Museum, is resurrected once again to resume his evil quest for immortality. In the meantime, another ancient threat emerges in the form of the Scorpion King (professional wrestler Dwayne Johnson, aka. the Rock), a mighty warrior frozen in time with his supernatural army. In order to save his family, Rick is forced to seek a mythical pyramid of gold, facing marauding bands of pygmy skeletons, among other hazards. The Mummy Returns co-stars John Hannah, Oded Fehr, and Patricia Velasquez.

Don't care what people say, this series is fun as hell to watch.
"Knowing my brother in law, he probably deserves whatever you're about to do to him." LOL, this is such an underappreciated sequel.
Ardeth Bay = Egyptian Aragorn
I love how they made Evelyn a total badass in the second film with an even bigger backstory to her character. Just love it.
I miss Brendan Fraser as a hero
I inspired to be Evie as a kid. I loved Ancient Egyptian history (still do), and I wanted to be educated in every aspect of the culture . I wanted to be a successful archaeologist, who was also sassy and gorgeous like Evie. Right now I'm 22, studying Anthropology, and no where near as beautiful as her. On the bright side, I have my own Rick O'Connell :)
Can we all take a moment to appreciate how gorgeous Oded Fehr was in this movie
Ardeth is perhaps one of the most badass supporting characters I’ve ever seen
I love the fact that even though Jonathan is in a room of dangerous people he still has the balls to steal the golden scepter back haha he really does put treasure before his own life

I love the knife catch and throwback haha. Also the look on Shafek's face as he dodges it is priceless.
one of the things i love most about these movies, is that yes, Evelyn WASN'T this badass in the first one, but she's been with Rick for 10 years going on adventures and stuff, it actually makes sense that she would have likely developed fighting skills over the years.
