Keeping a travel journal is such a good idea. I used to have one when I was studying abroad in China in the 90’s ❤
It is just such a great way to remember the smaller, but equally meaningful memories from traveling 🙌 I bet it is so much fun to look back on, and reminisce on your time abroad in China 😀
2023 happy~

Hi Maru 👋 This made our day to see this message from you. It was such an honor for us to stay in your home and meet your wonderful parents 😀 They treated us like family and we had such nice stay. Thank you and your family again.
Again in US hear dumplings but now bibigo are written in Mandu. Which is way Korean say. Oh yeah all costco sells bibigo.
Both of you have a charming smile.
I enjoyed your video and hope you enjoyed Korea too.
20:57 This card says:
It can be translated as "Cheer up and stay healthy, my beloved family! Elisha 2022.9.12"
So cool to see! Love all of the traditional stuff there😀
What a Lovely couple ❤
Thank you so much 😃🙌
Hanoks come with heated floors. Sometimes those restaurants in them also have them. People almost always say hanoks are more comfortable than they expected. You two did a great job with your research for this video.
5:00 haha dragon's meaning in Korea(also Northeast Asia like China, japan..) is good thing. It means like king(or belong with) or mysterious power(dragon can rain somewhere..?).. anyway positive meaning compare to other country.
That is great, thanks for letting us know 🙌 We are glad it is a good thing 😀
So informative thank you.I also want to home stay in.Bukchan Hanok village . Koreans seem to be such nice people,do the younger generation speak English?
Korea is amazing, and the people are wonderful 🇰🇷💛 We highly recommend a Homestay experience 👏 In Seoul, we found that many people spoke English. It is so impressive to us when people are bilingual, especially in English since it is such a difficult language 👏
Great video! Thx
Thank you so much 🙌
Thank you for visiting Seoul.
Of course 😀 Thank you for sharing your beautiful country with us 🇰🇷💛🙌

Hanok windows and inside door is original is papper but in rain wet or snow to damage that happen change it
Thank you for sharing that information with us, we appreciate it 🙌 The Hanok's were very beautiful in design and a great experience to stay in 👏 Thanks for watching and leaving us a comment 😀
They are wonderful structures.. I would like to even see some with paper windows if I could go back in time!
I think the photos of the shop owners in front of the shops was part of a recent campaign-ish thing to ward off gentrification.
Too often in Seoul we've had quaint craft stores, one-barista cafes and single-barkeep watering holes overrun in a matter of years by Olive Youngs and Starbucks and other franchise what-nots.
A prime example is Gyeongnidan-gil, not far from where the recent Halloween tragedy that killed 158 (159 as of tonight) unfolded on October 29. The place is a lesson in how gentrification brings ruin to all but the franchisers. Property owners saw their neighborhood grow popular and sometimes quadrupled - even more sometimes - their rent, driving all originality out of the street. And then the neighborhood just collapsed. Now it's just "that uphill street one drives up on the way to the Grand Hyatt." A good half of the properties remain empty.
Anyways, so the photos of the shopkeeps up front remind people that "there's people in here and this is the face of whoever's trying to provide for their family."
Reminds us that while the 'standardized' of franchises might work and flourish elsewhere, in a city as cosmopolitan as Seoul it's merely the baseline.
Wow, thank you for sharing that with us. It is an effective campaign and in many cases made us want to go into the stores to check them out and say hello to the shop owners if they were there 😀
And you mentioned the Halloween Tragedy and we just have to say we were gutted when we heard about it 😭 Our hearts, thoughts, and condolences are with Korea and the affected families, friends, and loved ones. Seriously so heartbreaking 💔
11:13 the best part of the traditional candy is how they make it. Did they do their usual presentation?
We didn't see the traditional presentation, but I bet it is very cool. We will definitely have to try and see it another time. The candy, itself, was absolutely delicious 👏😀
Good vedio sir
Thank you so much 🙌
Han oak village
Pronounced Hahn- Oak
But meat and dragons as puffy clouds taking baths is such a good thing!
That’s amazing, thank you for sharing that with us 🙌 We truly had no idea 😀
Hanok is pronunciated "Hah' Nohk" not "Huh Nahk'".
Thank you for letting us know, sorry we missed that one 🙌
It is Han Oak not Ha Knock
Sorry we missed that one, but thank you so much for letting us know how to say it properly 🙌
Hi Aicia, @21:00 it says 'Wishing for the health of my beloved family'.
I wonder if you guys cleaned your hands before picking cookies or dumpling...
@7:21 I want all of them
it is pronounced Hahn-oak with stress on the first syllable, not ha-NOCK!
What's the homestay location?
It's called Bukchonmaru Hanok Guesthouse. Hope that helps 👍
keep it up 🙂ヾ(@⌒ー⌒@)ノ
Thank you, we will 😀
It's actually pronounced "Han- Oak", not "Ha- Knock" lol
subscribed, btw! You seem both like cool/sweet people. Hope you enjoy the trip in SK!
Sorry we miss pronounced it, but thank you for letting us know 🙌
Thank you for subscribing 🥳 And we loved our time in Korea, it is a beautiful and amazing country 🇰🇷💛
What was the name of the Michelin star restaurant
Hi Steve 👋 The name of the restaurant is Gaeseong Traditional Dumpling House and it is near Insadong Street. Hope you enjoy, it is an amazing restaurant 🥟🥢
han oak. not ha nok.
I have been
s.korea.
2nights was enough.
Thanks for sharing, we personally couldn’t get enough 🇰🇷💛
Hanok is pronounced ‘Hahn-oke’.
Sorry we missed that one, but thank you for letting us know how to properly pronounce it. We appreciate it 🙌
"만두"는 정말 만들기 어려운 것에 비한다면 비교적 싼 음식이다.
Dude you keep sounding out an a sound on the o. Its not Hanak Its Ha Nok
I know, I totally messed it up, I apologize 😅 Thank you for letting us know 🙌
@@ThePassportCouple No need to apologize. It's not insulting at all. Hope you enjoy/ed your time in Korea. Peace from California.
Korea is expensive, ppl rude not friendly, not impressive place to visit, all the same shaped apartments, its not worth visiting.
Visit China. There is Rich history, amazing food, culture, people ......more
Its han oak . no Ha knock . Just letting you know
Sorry about that, but thank you for letting us know 🙌
