Coach Gabriel you are like hero to people like me
This might already be in the video but my note to people is: GET YOUR CARDIO UP!! I made the mistake of fighting my second fight with bad cardio and once i got fatigued the dude started to smash me up (granted he lied about his weight and experience)
Thank you for the advice. Stay hard.
100%
NO CARDIO=NO FIGHT 😂😂😂😂😂
Bro is the second fight cursed or something? I had the exact same thing happen. My cardio was shit from not preparing well enough and cutting lots of weight, gassed in the first round! crazy. Yeah my opponent also had more experience
@@poodleman3356 on the bright side I take it you learnt a lot from that fight? in my case I definitely did
1. Fighting is not like other sports, the pressure is on another level.
2. Winning and the feeling of overcoming is one of the main reasons why someone would even fight
3. The fights are not necessarily what cause long term damage, it's the training that takes the toll on you.
4. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, fighting requires commitment but don't put all your focus on it if you're an amateur making no money.
Gabe, you have a university degree. What made you go into the fighting business? Thanks.
Major in what? I'd like to know too
Well, he loved the sport so he dived into it. As he said, keep your plan B / C school or dayjobs and keep the foghting goal until the very end

Mr varga im a big fan of your career ..big fan
I wish I had this kind of resource and info that you're sharing with us here years ago. I was so lost on how to go about fighting and how one even goes about making a career of it.
I’ve been in combat sports professionally since the late 90’s. I fought NHB in the dark ages now Coach professionally Boxing, Kickboxing & MMA (+some S&C).
Nearly all the individuals who fail (and the majority do fail), it’s their character flaws and personal life that derail them.
Most Amateurs never turn Pro. At that level they simply cannot handle the schedule, diet & training.
The few who turn Pro never get off the regional circuit. Most stop after about 2 years. Finance is a huge factor. You have to work full time and train full time.
If a fighter makes it past the 2 year Pro hump, barring severe injury, they will succeed or fail based on personal character.
There are a lot of issues with drugs and alcohol. One way to insure you’re a regional journeyman is to drink too much.
Glad to know that it’s ok to start a business while training and working. I hope to create a successful business so that I can train more. Thank you coach 🙏
Love your content man
You should consider answering more comments some people make great questions that a lot of people would like to be answered !
I think he kind of ignores the comment section tbh. He is busy with fight camp right now
You don't get penalty to hurt opponent.
Such a useful video Gabriel, I definetly Agree that you should still follow your school path or a bussiness of sorts while fighting, then if you manage to become a really good professional fighter then you can say I am a full time fighter and I am aware of the damage in fight sports specifically Kickboxing because I train in it and I purely love it, love to train a very important topic for todays video Gabriel, this was very useful knowledge to have before my first amateur Kickboxing fight this year! 🎉
I got beat up in sparring tonight. It sucks.
Please reupload your Usyk reaction. Had it saved to watch later but It’s been taken down. 😔
Surprisingly Colby Duckington has a university degree too🤔
Man that is exactly what happened to me. Second fight I had the biggest crowd (about 3 times the size of the crowd in my first fight) and all top coaches of the country watching my fight and I lost in humiliating fashion. Did not train hard enough and felt completely off in the ring. Now I haven't had an opportunity to compete since and I still hate thinking about that day.
Brother, every athlete has to go through something like this and so have I. Keep training, opportunity will come. Imagine the feeling of coming back and winning
@@thomasmacneish3878 Thank you brother, yes I will definetely come back
Bro the same exact thing happened to me except i won the decision but don't let that be the last of you, you should avenge that loss if you're still able to fight.
What organisation Is those bkfc gloves
I loose my first grappling match 💔
Hi gabe who you pick-up to win between usyk and fury
How can i hurt someones shin if they go for a body kick without using my leg to check
Stick out your elbow (don't)
Talk about knee stomps in a sanctioned fight
Completely legal and ok 👍
