      Thanks Mark. I think this kind of lighting can add a lot to the nighttime effect on a layout.

      Thanks Jesse. I was honestly surprised to see how little there was to these lights. The concept works great, but I never would have paid for a pair had I been able to see them in advance.

      @@TwoRailfans ya, ready built gadgets are usually just that, gadgets, easy to make yourself,
      Speaking of which, those left over ink pen parts, go in your scrap load collection 😊

      @@TwoRailfans when I made mine, I used mostly cardboard clippings, but parts like that add awesome texture to the effect

      We will definitely be trying the cardboard clippings and will start looking at small junk parts more seriously before throwing anything away.

    Hello, very nice craft idea, we also illuminated our church, but the spotlights were significantly cheaper, we didn't pay 15 euros for 5 spotlights with shipping costs. Greetings from Germany

      @TwoRailfans  Месяц назад

      Thank you. That's not such a bad price. What we paid I thought was a bit much though, especially for what they are, basically an LED inside a plastic tube.

    Very nice, but I can't cater for it. It's useful for those with baseboards in any case. I don't mind watching a tutorial that doesn't last too long. But I get a greater thrill watching you and David playing trains, especially when Thomas and James get the right of way.
    "Here are your trucks, James," said Thomas. "Have you got some bootlaces ready?" And he ran off laughing.
    "Oh!" complained the trucks. "We want a proper engine, not a Red Monster." James took no notice, and started as soon as the Guard was ready.

      Thank you. It adds something special with nighttime lighting and adds to the 3D feel of things. I can't see spending a lot of money on this though if you can do it for 40 cents.

    For the price you pay they really should have a resistor already fitted.

    • @TwoRailfans
      @TwoRailfans  Месяц назад +1

      Thank you. This is part of their "Just Plug" system to manage layout lighting. We already used another setup for lighting, but I figured the resistor would be already wired in, but apparently that comes from the lighting unit. Oh well, live and learn. 😂

  • @KerleyExpress

    maybe use a black pen lol maybe liquid tape instead do you have to use a resister if your using woodland lighting system
