The game components don't justify such a big box. It should be smaller to save shelf space.

Bigger boxes attract more attention on retail shelves and tend to sell more. That's the sad fact.

Hi, the designer here! We had some competing interests- some of our community members wanted a small box- others wanted a core game box that would also be able to fit sleeved cards, expansion decks, and some add-ons. The good news is each deck comes in its on deck box, so you could easily throw 3 or 4 of those in a bag and bring them anywhere. :)
