@@gigabyte3420 Yeah I know. Compared to official jumpscares like FNAF 1 - 3, and Sister Location. TJOC has more suspense and anticipation with the factors I’ve mentioned. I don’t get too annoyed of TJOC Foxy jumpscare where he rushes at you with loud footsteps because you bang his GF. Compared to Fnaf 1, Foxy runs at you like a lost toddler just to spread Jesus gospel (I know the game is old, the doll babies in Sister Location are awful)
Regarding what you mentioned about the official games, SB was supposed to be a vastly different product when planned out. There was going to be multiple nights (you know, like in the title) and a constantly ticking clock, so if you wanted to do something you had to do everything necessary for it within a time limit. A combination of overeager planning, the dev team not being used to this style of game (they're a VR studio, that's the skillset that was put to work on SB), pressure from managers after delays, and Scott literally not telling them what the story of the game was, all led to the ridiculous product we got. That all aside, TJoC's original story mode was pretty good with some parts of course being better than others, so I'm interested in seeing how this remake does it. Most of it is improvements, but I'd say a couple things are downgrades - namely, the tutorial, while immersive, doesn't tell you much; and I'd like to nitpick Foxy's poses. In the original, he's staring you down through the closed door, and looks at the camera once its gaze starts... physically repulsing him, or whatever it does. In this, while his poses make sense for his new camera-battery-intensive minigame, he lacks that original pose that really made you feel seen.
The Foxy pose is a good point. Maybe he could start in that pose then try to move around? I'm just glad a Fanverse game is getting a release. The FNaF community is constantly full of drama because, you know, big fanbase. So excited for this and Popgoes.
This game is part of the fazbear initiative. Which takes some if the of the biggest fnaf fangames and gives their devs budgets to make new(officially licensed) entries, or in the case of this game, a remake of their fangame! It also opens up the opportunity for these devs to monetize their games, get ports to other devices such as mobile and consoles and produce merchandise through the same people who make the usual fnaf merch. Also, the original game that this is a remake of, “the joy of creation: story mode” is still available on gamejolt for free if this has you any interested in it!
Fun Fact: From what I remember, you're actually playing as Scott Cawthon in this game. Also another fact: when the Original TJOC was in development the dev was having issues with being productive and making progress, only for Phisnom to suggest keeping updates on the game private which led to tbe OG version being completed. How Ironic.
in the original Story Mode you used to play as Scott Cawthon, in this version it's no longer Scott (as confirmed by Nikson) but it's just called "The Creator". Also this new version appears to have an actual name of the antagonist as seen in the credits (his name is "The Source") so we'll prolly see more of him which i'm really excited for
@@FMrewind ngl the story of the first game was kinda empty, felt more like an excuse to connect the game levels, but it still was a pretty solid story, I'm 100% sure this game will highly improve on it

TJOC is jumpscare heavy horror game, but the jumpscare doesn’t get too stale thanks to the environment design, sfx, and animations
It’s a fnaf fan game, ofc it’ll be jumpscare heavy lol

graveyard shift at freddy's is so fire
I cannot believe some people didn't hear about the original joy of creation until the remake this shit was like peak fangames back then
