Love the videos, very addictive. But a safety comment: swimming in a marina - check for stray currents and avoid ESD (electrical shock drowning). Make sure the crew knows what to do (kill all the main breakers - boat and shore) and have someone watching when you are in the water.
Hoping you put up netting soon for the Pups. It would be nice for the Humans too. Love the new sails, they look awesome! And yes indeed, it’s nice to have a Crew, particularly for overnight passages so you can get some rest at night.

Nice new Milwaukee drill. I took my chuck off and for like $30 had a machine shop make me a winch fitting that screws straight on where the chuck fits. Makes it lighter and smaller.

Heat gun works really well taking off marine lettering, takes the glue off with the numbers or lettering and leaves a nice clean surface...........salty dogs is a great name!
A heat gun gets too hot and blisters the paint or jell coat beneath. With a hair dryer, it is easier to control the amount of heat. The acetone was the proper way to take of the final remnants from the old lettering. In the end, she did just fine!
Congratulations on finally heading out. She cuts a fine figure of a boat under all that sail. Nice having a crew, well ya! I'm more and more comfortable with the new crew.

Good vibes thus far on the new boat. Bobby, I was a Boatswain's Mate in the Navy on two aircraft carriers. You should try working over the side way up on the super structure of one of those if you have a problem with heights!

You need a minimum of three of those Millies, probably 10 batteries AND at least one should be direct wired power option, not just battery. Now, imagine being up that mast in a raging sea, at night, when something breaks or goes wrong. Get more waterproof lights including on the spreaders. Beautiful boat and new sails, congrats.
