As an AVID fan who began gaming a few years before the original graced my existence, I must say that the remake makes an admirable job of recreating the experience.
It's an amazing remake and I ask, nay DEMAND, that you play it. Indei, you don't want to miss that old-school experience mate. You don't.

The best part of an Indeimaus vid is the cinematic direction. The hard fights are shown to be hard, like an epic battle. I really enjoy that. And between the hard fights, there's great comedy relief. Very well done.

I also wish to thank Indeimaus. Without him I would never discovered this hidden gem which is Ender Lililes and now without him it would be too long if never before I got a word of their next release.
For the first one I legit stopped watching midway, played it myself, and then watched the rest after I finished it.
Blasphemous came out 2 years after Hollow Knight and the sequel released before Silk Song.
and both were better games than hollow knight too 🤯

I've always loved the artstyle of Ender Lillies, and god Ender Magnolia perfected that style so much. It looks so damn pretty.
Also regarding whether to move on to Super System Shock or continue Metroidvania Month, if you don't mind letting the work of the other metroidvanias go then I don't see why not move on to System Shock.
Ended Lilies was such a surprisingly good hidden gem.
Was really a great game with a unique twist of having spirits fight for the little girl.
Reminded me a lot of Valerie Profile Lenneth ish. Get souls of people, use them as unique attacks..... God I wish SE would release those games on PC

You introduced me to one of my all time favorite games with that Ender Lilies video. I've been gaming consistently and with variety for about 25 years at this point, and that game is in my personal top 5! So thank you Indeimaus. I likely wouldn't have found that game without that video, and even if I had I doubt I would've given it a chance as I thought I hated Metroidvanias before then.

5:23 fun fact! The band that worked on both Ender Lilies and Ender Magnolia, Mili, technically did work on a Nier soundtrack. It’s a cut ost for the amusement park. Just look up “Mili Neir” and the first result should be the cut ost.

I really gotta try these Ender games. Still havent played the first. As an aside, I bounced off HK multiple times for a couple reasons, but Silksong is so much bigger and taking so long that alone makes me wanna try it lol (in 2030 when it comes out in Early Access lol)

I'm not gonna lie, I actually forgot that Silksong was even a thing until you brought it up. And I was just playing the original game the other day.
I know you love Silksong and we are all waiting on that sweet release date, but you should also keep an eye on another title called Crowsworn. The combat looks amazing and it's, at a glance looks like Hollow knight but far different in artstyle and combat.

this feels like ender lilies but wierd heat powered fleshy robots
I couldn't get into Ender Lillies mainly cause the map was so horrific. This looks amazing and will be an instant pickup.
Oof still waiting and did not realize the gap. Anyways raved with that mix material drop, and as time waster games goes IDK content worthy, but having fun with a fishing game called 'Dredge'. It's not as fast paced as you normally play, but has that Cthulhu setting I don't want to give too much away of the plot. Oh! And best to play in the dark.
