Thank you for reviewing this Jay! This was my piece. You’re one of my heroes in the voice over/audiobook world. Keep up the absolutely incredible work you do.
It was a pleasure! Keep up the good work! And thanks for the kind words ;)
Hey Jay! Thank you so much for reviewing this. It was me who narrated. Fantastic feedback. You’re one of my heroes in the voiceover/audiobook world, so hearing you give positive feedback was so motivational. It’s actually the start of a sci fi novel my friend is writing, who’s an extremely talented writer. When it’s finished I’ll be sure to let the world know. Thanks for all the exceptional work you do Jay.
Great voice, and great performance! I could hear this in a video game! Extremely atmospheric.
Just for some added technical ideas (I'm not an expert!): I'm hearing peaking and some distortion in places. I would say the possible initial recording might be going over 0.0db in spots? The drone is intentional, you mention. Are you using compression? Limiter? Audacity has a great ACX checker, it will give you your peak, your RMS and room noise level. Good luck!
@ yeah I noticed this too. Though when I listen to my recording locally. It sounds fine and doesn’t peak. Very odd. I use compressor and then a limiter. And my original recording I keep between -18 to -6db. Thanks for the compliment about my voice!
Thanks for your opon learning thankyou so much brother 😂
