Hi Carol!!! Thank you for the comment - hope you are enjoying the summer and I love your Hawk Run Hollow endeavors!! Keep up the good work - I appreciate you and your stitching/quilting example!
I’m finally home and able to catch up on your video. What a treat to get to hug you and spend time with MY SHANDA. That was a perfect day! So glad you did a video so I can see what you’ve been up to and get to stitch while you talk. I haven’t cross stitched for months, but got out my NOEL sampler you and Kristy were doing and got to work on it while I watched her video and yours. Love you, girl!
Ohh how you have been missed!!! I always enjoy watching to see what you've been up to!! It was a treat to see all of your finishes in that project roll!! Enjoy your garden!! It's that very busy time now but I Love the garden!!! Take care of yourself!! Happy Stitching!!! I will see you next time!!! 😊❤❤❤❤❤. Barbara S. 😊
Thank you Barbara! I have missed all of you also! I need to get going on all that FFOing in my project roll! Happy stitching and enjoy the last rays of summer😎
Prayers for a cease to the fires and a clearing of the smoke. In between chapters of Anne of Green Gables it was good to enjoy your video and contemplate those "petty things" as we women are wont to do. Your projèct roll is fabulous, as were all the treasures tucked within. You cross stitchers are causing me to daydream about trying my hand at paper piecing.
Hi Shanda, Welcome back and I love your natural hair color. I must say that those pearls compliment it beautifully. Such a nice stitch for your granddaughter. My granddaughter, soon to be a teen, has requested a queen sized pinwheel quilt. She chose the fabrics from my stash, so now to get it done. Also expecting our first great grandchild so have a quilt to make for him. Your finished pieces are so beautiful....framed or pillows, can't wait to see them fully done now. The weather has been extremely hot here in Maine also and supposed to feel like 90s tomorrow with the humidity. Congratulations on getting that fence done. Would love to see your gardens. I have not been stitching or quilting and am struggling to get back in the groove as some would say.
Thank you for the great comment! Those grandkids are so important to make things for - the next generation. You live in Maine! One state on my very short bucket list/radar to visit soon. Fight to get back in the stitching groove- it helps with overall well being but I also understand as I have been there myself. Thanks for watching and we can look forward to Fall!
Hi Shanda I’m a southern Idahoan too! Have always loved the pop pop engines at the Western Idaho Fair since I was a kid. Love watching your stitching and quilting projects. 💕
Hi Debbie!! I get to be at the fair with hubby this year the 23rd afternoon and Sunday 25th all day. If you are there I’d love to meet you! Thanks for the comment and watching!
Hi Shanda We had fair day today and I enjoyed all the fair activities including the pop pop engines. Wish I could make it back to meet you. Enjoy your week 😀
Awww…. Thank you! Will be playing around with my pineapple quilt blocks before my next video so will have something to show you. Thank you for watching and enjoy your end of the summer stitching!
Enjoyed your nice visit❤ lovely stitching and listening to your quilt hopes❤ l too love fall and winter; although, as l live in Alabama, we don’t have much winter anymore. I went to College in Utah and miss the snow so much❤❤❤
Hi Shames ! I was so excited to see you have a new video up, Sounds like you have been very busy with your gardening. Really enjoyed seeing all of you finishes. They are all so pretty. Fall is definitely my favorite season.can't wait for Fall and your next video. Happy stitching and quilting.
What a joy to see you again - I love to hear about your adventures with gardening and living in the mountains - looking forward to seeing you next time 🙂
It was so good to hear from you again via your video. I am glad that life is good for you and that you are getting the opportunity to do the things you love most. Your finishes are beautiful and I look forward to seeing more of them that you shared as finishes. It is hot here in Kansas and we are praying for rain for the crops to be successful. I have mostly been quilting but I have come back to doing a bit of cross stitching too. I lost my mom on Christmas Eve 2023 and I miss her so much; she was such a big part of my life so that has been a huge adjustment for me. My children have wanted me to move from the farm for quite some time now so I will be doing that this fall. My mom left her house to me in our little town of about 1100 people so after we make some updates to it I will be moving into it. I am 77 so it is time that I do that but I will definitely miss living in the country even though I will be in a small town; there is nothing life living in the country with the quiet and the sounds of the birds and the coyotes who howl at night. Anyway that is my life update. Blessings to you in all things and enjoy your quilting, stitching, and gardening as well as time with your mom and grandchildren. Hugs………………..
Hello Pam! My mother is 81 and I relish the opportunity to be able to help her and to keep her in her home. We will be retiring very nearby her but for right now she is needing help in her home as her mobility is pretty poor. She does do some embroidery and works on bindings of my quilts if I ask her. I do enjoy spending time with her and I’m glad I able to help her. Thank you for the life update and for the comment and for watching. See you soon!
Awwww…. Thank you for the nice comment. Wish we could stitch together one afternoon under a shade tree. Beam me up where ever you are and we’ll visit for a bit. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? Enjoy your stitching today.🧵♥️
Thank you Shanda, that was nice of you to say. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and it seems to me that you are too. Maybe we can meet up in a stitchy group in the next life! I am in Southern California. I hope you are keeping cool this summer!
@@sdcrilly You guessed right! We will definitely start a stitch group and be content therein, great idea! On Mother’s Day I was released from RS Pres in the SW Idaho ward and waiting for a new assignment in my new ward in Salmon, Idaho. Small, wonderful world, right? Blessings on your stitching and let’s seek each other out in our next place of abode♥️. Hugs!
You put the biggest heartwarming smile on my face! One time I was thinking about the future for my creative stitching abilities, and the Lord said to me, "Just wait until you get here!" Oh, I am so excited, and I know there will be a place for all of our talents that we have been blessed with. Imagine the beauty that we can recreate! Yes, we will get together. I hope you get a wonderful new calling in your ward in Salmon. My husband has been in the spirit world since 2014, so there is so much to look forward too. Take care!
Happy stitching to you! Thank you for the nice comment and I think my next video will have some quilts in it from my Mountain quilting studio. Thank you for watching and blessings on your stitching day!
It is always nice to see you. Your stitching is beautiful. I think your hair is so pretty. I hope your gardens reap a bounty of goodies for you and your husband.
Glad to see you again! Glad you're not feeling pressure to make flosstube videos! Hit and miss is fine with me! Love that you're focusing in your life and family. The videos are fun to catch whenever they pop up. ❤ Cheers to your stitchy gems!
I just found you and really enjoyed your video. I just stitched the piece that you did for your granddaughter for my daughter. I just love that sentiment.
Love your hair!!! I remember when you were deciding if you should stop coloring your hair and I think you made the riight decision because the color is gorgeous!! Love all your beautiful finishes!! Enjoy the rest of the summer.
Hi Shanda lovely to see you again, loved your stitching finishes and quilting projects, your garden sounds wonderful, but a lot of work,we are in winter here in NZ but down hill to spring,in fact I have spotted a few daffodils popping up around the area, love spring time, love all your fabrics, have a good week be safe,Thankyou for sharing ❤️🇳🇿🪡
Hello to New Zealand! Fall, and winter are my very favorite times of year, so I wish I could be in your home today and stitching with you in the late winter time. Thank you for watching, and for the comment. Happy stitching!
Thank you for your beautiful comment and I am blessed to have such wonderful surroundings around me. Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer.
It is so good to see your precious face again! I am glad you are doing well and have been enjoying your gardening. I loved seeing all your beautiful projects in your project roll! Take care and hope to see you again soon. Blessings to you!
Yes, J was customarily left out of samplers and that was my friend and I inside joke. I stitched it according to the chart, but my friend was not a stitcher so she didn’t quite “get it “. Thank you for watching and thank you for the great comment.♥️
Yes, that was the inside joke between me and my non-stitching friend. The letter J was customarily left out of samplers, but she did not know that she thought I’d made a mistake. I stitched it according to the chart and it is correct. Thank you for the comment, and happy stitching! Blessings to you♥️
Thank you so much for your kind words about my patterns, Shanda! I’m thrilled you are enjoying working on The Holy Child! All of your projects are beautiful. I enjoyed stitching The Noel Sampler. So fun you and Kristy are doing it together. I got my kit from Country Sampler also. Yours is fabulous! ❤
Thank you, Lori! You are a cross stitch star, so thank you for the comment. Will be showing my progress mid-fall and hope to have The Holy Child done for Christmas. I am also stitching the Lucy Mack sampler. Thanks for stopping by and can’t wait to see future releases!
I so enjoy your videos! I can't believe how many pieces you have stitched!. I also enjoy your backdrops with your beautiful quilts. I too have a Gammill and do some quilting for customers. This summer I've been working on many projects, quilts, flower gardens, and stitching in the evening! I live in SD and drive school bus so my summer is quickly coming to an end as in three weeks we start school. Please continue your videos love seeing everything you do!! Thanks for putting the time in to do them.
Awwww… a fellow school coworker! Yes, my husband loves his summers too as he is an auto shop teacher. Thank you for the great comment. I do appreciate those who comment and watch. Sounds like you’ve been very busy with your projects, quilts flower gardens, and most importantly stitching. Have a good school year and enjoy your hobbies!
It’s wonderful seeing you! The project you’ve stitched for your granddaughter is great! Thanks for sharing all of your projects and your plans for quilting. I hope the fence keeps the deer out of your garden. Take care!
I was so happy to see your video pop up. I always enjoy seeing your stitching and quilts. Glad you found contentment in your garden and in your handwork. There is nothing better than feeling peaceful and being in a state of gratitude.
So good to see you. Even though I don’t xstitch I still watched you to the end. Looking forward to your quilting videos. Would like to see your hexagons. Looking forward to your next utube. I know you are busy. I am working on quilts for Christmas. 🎄🧵🪡🤗🫖😎 Dona in Oregon..
Ahhh… my hexis. Haven’t been working on those as faithful as I could but I will have quilting to show next time. I have been busy quilting and stitching and loving every minute of it. Enjoy the last moments of the summer!
It was so good to see you again and your lovely stitching! Regarding the piece you got formed at HL with the missing alphabet letters, I think in older samplers the letter I was often not included (there's a reason for it...I can't recall exactly why.), and I've heard of the letter U being excluded as well. Maybe the designer was going very "old school" when she designed it😊. Enjoy the rest of your summer...hope the weather and air conditions improve for you!
So enjoyed your video! Your stitching is lovely and inspiring. The scenery, the turkeys, the blue skies and water make for such a heartwarming video. Thank you for your special words at the end. Looking forward to mid Fall.
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope this finds you stitching on something wonderful, and that you are having a good summer. I’m looking forward to visiting with you next time. Happy stitching!
Always a treat to spend time with you, Shanda, and enjoy seeing what you have been up to! Thank you for taking the trouble to share a little segment of your obviously very busy life! All the best with your garden, it sounds amazing!
Thank you for a lovely video Shanda! Enjoy these days, they are all so precious, aren't they. Thank for all the encouragement you share with us all. Blessings.
Great seeing you and your wonderful stitching again! I love everything that you showed! Enjoy your quilting studio! I remember when you first showed it to us years ago! It’s amazing! ❤
Thank you and I still remember meeting you at the Missouri retreat also. My next video will be from my quilting studio with my quilts hanging behind me. I miss it so much too and I’m grateful that I get to spend some more time there. Happy stitching, and enjoy the rest of your summer!
Enjoyed your podcast. You have stitched some very pretty things….You are so blessed to be able to spend some time with your mom. I’m looking forward to seeing some quilts soon and wish you much joy with your projects🙂💗
Thank you for the beautiful comment. And yes, I am blessed to be able to spend some time with my mother. My next video will have a few quilts that I have been working on for myself along with some stitching. I hope this finds you stitching on something that you are enjoying, and that you are Having a great summer!
I love the salt box quilt sampler and am going to try this one...maybe not 1x1, I don't think my eyes can take that. I believe the letters missing is because they weren't included "back in the day" and the I and V were used for the J and U. I'm just learning about samplers (I was taught about all other forms of stitching but samplers). I'm also wanting to chart a sampler for my area with the mansion/farm that was a key element in our small community. Love your work!
Excited to see your video pop up. Your stitching is so beautiful, I especially like your Brenda Gervais projects, she is one of my favorite designers. Till next time, enjoy the mountains!
You are from the UK! Oh, how I would love to visit the UK. That really is the only place I would love to visit that is outside of the United States. Thank you for the great comment, and I hope you have a great day stitching!
Blessings and I have loved visiting with you. Thanks for the ‘Show and Tell’ of stitching on hold for the next stage in your block roll. Reminds me to complete some of mine. Tomorrow I will get Lori’s’The Holy Child’ to start stitching. Hope those fires soon stop. In friendship with stitching time sometime each day.
What a beautiful comment, my friend! I love your ending line “in friendship with stitching time sometime each day“. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to beam ourselves into each other’s homes and sit and stitch for a bit? Thank you for watching!
Hi Shanda….wow your garden is going to be amazing. Glad to hear you will be able to be stitching & quilting more. I hear you with the granddaughter wishes. I have been trying to do the same this summer. Thanks for the wonderful visit while my evening stitch. Happy Stitching! 🧵🪡❤️
I am so glad I get to visit with you while you were stitching. Grandkids requests are of the utmost importance! Thank you for the comments on my garden and yes, when you start from scratch I have to think it will be amazing even though it may be a 3 to 5 year process. Happy stitching and enjoy the rest of your summer! Thanks for watching.
It was so nice to see you this evening - have missed your videos. Your mountain home sounds so lovely. Loved your FFO's. Do have your Christmas stitch framed and ready for the holidays!
Thank you for your nice comment and I think I will take my Christmas Stitches in and get them framed as a treat for the upcoming holiday season. Happy stitching, and enjoy the rest of your summer. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the great comment. And yes, my next video will be from my long arm quilting studio in the mountains. You were reading my mind! Hope you’re having a great summer and that you are stitching on something of your dreams. Blessings and enjoy your day. Thank you for watching!
Hello to the north east of England! I would love to visit your country someday. I love all the open fields in the UK with rock walls as they are such an architectural wonder to me. Thank you for the comment and for watching. Hope you have a great day full of stitching ahead of you!
Hi Shanda! So good to see you. Love your videos and enjoy seeing what you're stitching on. The mountains sound lovely. It's been hot here in WA state, too. Have a wonderful summer 😊
Thank you Diana for the wonderful comment. I love the state of Washington. It is very beautiful! Hope the fires are not very close to you, and that this finds you stitching on something delightful. Have a great day of stitching!
HI SHANDA!!! Patriotic Poppies by Brenda Gervais is the chart you asked for my help naming. You & Kristy stitched that with me for my birthday 2 years ago. Your projects are gorgeous! Stay safe during the fires 🔥🙏🏼 Love ya PPS! 💞
I knew you would come up with it, Sheila! Yes, Patriotic Poppies by With Thy Needle and Thread. I really do need to get this fully finished and I think now I have incentive to do just that! Thank you and happy stitching!
I always watch out for your videos...I so love them! Can I ask a favour? I alway see that quilt behind you when you are filming in this home and wonder what size the blocks are...I think I need to make a variation of it. Enjoy your time in the mountains and your happy place!
Hi there and thanks for asking a great question! I get a lot of comments on that quilt at times, and I am happy to report that finished, and in the QUILT, the blocks measure out at 3 1/2 inches. Happy, stitching, quilting, and watching!
You came a tos all the Flosstubes in my You Tube videos today. You do an amazing job sharing your pretty needlework. You mentioned “Homework” is there a group I can join to have “homework assignments”??? I’d love to join in
I love that question “can I do homework?“ Homework is just a term for part of a stitch along group. If there is a chart that several of you would like to stitch together, one person divides it up into monthly homework assignments. So let’s say you all have some chart that you would like to get done in seven months. That person would divide it up into seven months and each month you would have “homework”. It works the best if you start in January, but I have been known to do my own “homework” assignments with something that I wanted to get done in six or seven months. Great question and happy stitching!
It was GREAT to see you ! I think of you often! Your projects are amazing. Are you returning to work in the little school this year? I go back in two weeks, sniffle, sniffle 😂
Not going back to little school as it will be 250 miles away. I will, and already do, miss my little ones! Thanks for the comment Ginger and thanks for watching!!
Lovely stitching❤❤❤ Love Fall and Winter also.

Great video. How wonderful that your Mom is still with you.
Take care!
Thank you for the great comment. And yes, so far the fence is working. Enjoy your projects and the rest of the summer! Thank you for watching.

I was so happy to see your video pop up. I always enjoy seeing your stitching and quilts. Glad you found contentment in your garden and in your handwork. There is nothing better than feeling peaceful and being in a state of gratitude.
The simple life is best and my solitude is found in my needle and thread. Thank you for watching and the comment!♥️
Sew nice to see you Shanda. Summer here in South Carolina is like winter in Boston, stay inside and stitch/quilt the day away. See you in the Fall. 😊
Hello to South Carolina! A state I have always wanted to visit, minus the humidity! You stay cool and stitch also. Thanks for watching!
This is my 1st time visiting with you. What a joy. Thank you!
Welcome! Thank you for the nice sentiments ♥️
So lovely to see you back and all your fab finishes ❤
So enjoyed your video! Your stitching is lovely and inspiring. The scenery, the turkeys, the blue skies and water make for such a heartwarming video. Thank you for your special words at the end. Looking forward to mid Fall.
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope this finds you stitching on something wonderful, and that you are having a good summer. I’m looking forward to visiting with you next time. Happy stitching!
Don't you just love your hair! Makes your eyes pop. Thanks so much and have a good Fall. hugs
So kind! Thank you! I’m getting use to my hair. My family says it easier to spot me in a crowd when they are looking for me. 😉

Shanda, it was nice to see you again. I want to do the Noel sampler
What a pleasure to see you and a new video. Enjoy living your best life and creating.
Thank you! You too! I appreciate that comment and your support! Stitch on!
I really enjoy all of Brenda’s designs also. She never disappoints! Thank you for watching and hope you have a great day stitching!

I love the Noel sampler. I think it looks great on that linen.
Thank you for your vote of confidence. I think I’m am falling more in love with it each time I pick it up! ♥️
Thx for sharing!
Yay! I was just thinking about you the other day and missing your videos. Glad to see you back😊
Thank you, my Wisconsin friend!!

Thank you for the comments on my garden and yes, when you start from scratch I have to think it will be amazing even though it may be a 3 to 5 year process. Happy stitching and enjoy the rest of your summer! Thanks for watching.

Hello from the North East of England :)
Happy finishing Shanda! I can’t wait to see what you do with it ♥️
Thank you !
@@shandastitchinginidaho Thank you so much...I am definitely starting one this fall!
Welcome back!!
Thanks for the comment Ginger and thanks for watching!!
the j was left out of the alphabet back then so maybe check your pattern. love it all
Yes the J was left out way back when so left out intentionally. Thanks for watching and happy stitching!!!!
