What is Stardew Valley?
You've inherited your grandfather's old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won't be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community center, once the town's most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. But the valley seems full of opportunity. With a little dedication, you might just be the one to restore Stardew Valley to greatness!
Features
Turn your overgrown field into a lively farm! Raise animals, grow crops, start an orchard, craft useful machines, and more! You'll have plenty of space to create the farm of your dreams.
Improve your skills over time. As you make your way from a struggling greenhorn to a master farmer, you'll level up in 5 different areas: farming, mining, combat, fishing, and foraging. As you progress, you'll learn new cooking and crafting recipes, unlock new areas to explore, and customize your skills by choosing from a variety of professions.
Become part of the local community. With over 30 unique characters living in Stardew Valley, you won't have a problem finding new friends! Each person has their own daily schedule, birthday, unique mini-cutscenes, and new things to say throughout the week and year. As you make friends with them, they will open up to you, ask you for help with their personal troubles, or tell you their secrets! Take part in seasonal festivals such as the luau, haunted maze, and feast of the winter star.
Explore a vast, mysterious cave. As you travel deeper underground, you'll encounter new and dangerous monsters, powerful weapons, new environments, valuable gemstones, raw materials for crafting and upgrading tools, and mysteries to be uncovered.
Breathe new life into the valley. Since JojaMart opened, the old way of life in Stardew Valley has changed. Much of the town's infrastructure has fallen into disrepair. Help restore Stardew Valley to it's former glory by repairing the old community center, or take the alternate route and join forces with Joja Corporation.
Court and marry a partner to share your life on the farm with. There are 10 available bachelors and bachelorettes to woo, each with unique character progression cutscenes. Once married, your partner will live on the farm with you. Who knows, maybe you'll have kids and start a family?
Spend a relaxing afternoon at one of the local fishing spots. The waters are teeming with seasonal varieties of delicious fish. Craft bait, bobbers, and crab pots to help you in your journey toward catching every fish and becoming a local legend!
Donate artifacts and minerals to the local museum.
Cook delicious meals and craft useful items to help you out. With over 100 cooking and crafting recipes, you'll have a wide variety of items to create. Some dishes you cook will even give you temporary boosts to skills, running speed, or combat prowess. Craft useful objects like scarecrows, oil makers, furnaces, or even the rare and expensive crystalarium.
Customize the appearance of your character and house. With hundreds of decorative items to choose from, you'll have no trouble creating the home of your dreams!

So after escaping prison countless times, Punchwood settles down for farm life.
+Turtle of Doom Wearing Trousers I feel Punchwood sort of needs it. He escaped so many prisons and now with his brothers going to jail as well, he really needs to stay low on the grid and maybe try farming, a peaceful living , for once in a long while. Add up all the times he was stranded on islands, planets, etc, it might be best for him. (Plus, maybe Sheryl or Farah might finally be able to visit Punchwood.)

I recently started wanting to buy Stardew Valley and I saw this and starting watching it... it brought me back to so many years ago when I watched your Minecraft Survive and Thrive series. Wow, the memories! You got me into Minecraft and gaming - thank you so much for introducing me to an amazing world with amazing people such as you!
While it is quite the long shot 1.6 stardew valley comes out march 19th and would be amazing to see a new lets play to celebrate your return!

It is nice to see you start a series with determination to play it all the way. I think a lot of you tubers hurt themselves by not committing to work through a series. The uncertainty makes people not want to get too invested in the story, then have it dumped. So good job! I hope this is a great series for you and us.

Paul, I've newly found these (spring 2017) and have really been enjoying this series. I can't remember in which episode you mentioned someone's comment about 'childish role-playing', but pooh! so serious; that someone could benefit from re-enabling FUN. I literally fall asleep to the intro song pretty much very night since i found a copy of the soundtrack on disc, it's so calming and peaceful.
When Paul started flirting with all the female NPC's, I was cringing and laughing at the same time. XD

I was so excited to see that you had posted a pre-release video for this game. Though I had very little doubt about how good it was going to be your video destroyed what doubt remained. I've been following Concerned Ape's development logs for Stardew Valley for about a year now and been getting more and more excited for its release. Personally, animal crossing is still one of my favorite game series. I don't really see to much of a similarity but this game still seems pretty great.

Look like it's heavily inspired by Harvest Moon, but with LOTS of customisation and cool improvements! Definitely will be watching these series!
+Gaelic Flame Harvest Moon and its' RPG offshoot Rune Factory but the newer Harvest Moons (called Story of Seasons now) have a lot of customization now so it's not exactly new what this does.

+Jerric Nueva AFAIK, there's an optional "win" condition but it doesn't end the game and you can just keep playing forever.

i like this game, especially that you could interact with lots of things in the game and you could do lots in one day, but i enjoyed the intro more and the voice acting. th-up!
Heard a lot of people say this was a dead project. If he is actually finished and it is getting a release though, definately interested. I can't justify the expense of a console anymore, so something like Harvest Moon on PC is something I have been looking for for awhile.
Grandpas speech hits home for me a lot more now that i'm a college student.
This game looks so relaxing. No monsters, not even Pokemon type battles, doesn't look like it has any sort of fighting at all. I usually play Pokemon when I need a break from more hectic games, but this might be the game I play when I need a break from Pokemon.
+Duke Sidus there are 'monsters' in the cave areas, but that's it i think.

man I'm getting a Major Harvest Moon vibe from this game, with a touch of animal crossing with the collection pages. so all in all it feels like a somewhat voxel style Harvest moon.
