Looking good Doug! Had a blast teaching with this cat when he hoped on tour in 2011. Should point out that Doug is the cat who wrote the BK on field that everyone loves!!
Alot of you are missing the point. Its not geared towards any specific grade level. Its geared towards everyone. Everyone can take a piece of this and use it to better themselves as a drummer or percussionist. Even those who march Phantom, SCV, or BD will use this possibly on their downtime with another bass drummer and just practice. I've seen it. @HNIC94 Who are you to tell him how to instruct in this video? If you have a problem with it, message them directly. He knows what he is talking about and he knows how to teach. Again, this video if meant for everyone. Not just you. Sorry to point you out, but dang man, realize there are people of ALL different talent levels out there. EVERYONE can use every bit of information he has to offer.
i just feel as though as the " bass game" is much easier for younger players to understand. literally the same thing but with no turnaround to switch to the upbeat, the exercise just starts off again with the players switching on the repeat.

I feel like after the 16th notes it gets a bit much with the way it turns around...8 32nd notes at anything past 180 probably won't ever happen...depending on what level you aim this video toward...
Practicing this on my helped me out immensely. I definitely plan to use this with newer players.

what kind of pad is that?
I get the ones and two's but everything past that sounds all jacked up from the tempo. could you write it out, or do a video at a slower tempo?
Thanks! :-)
