Finnish people arriving in Finland are fully stocked with cheaper alcohol:.
Estonian people arriving in Tallinn are fully stocked with licorice and Moomins.

Looks like a quality product. Very impressive. A top review as usual.

Thanks Tim - it was a very nice alternative to flying (and how often do I say that 🫢)

Really interesting, thank you. We are thinking of getting a cabin for our bags - do you think this is unnecessary?

Great video Neil! I also enjoyed my time on Tallink - they have a great service. Look forward to more of these different videos soon.

Thanks Callum - it’s a great operator isn’t it - I was blown away with the catering and the staff were so happy 😀

Word of warning. Taking this trip in slight November wind and rain, especially wind, can be slightly less comfortable than your experience and in that case I would not recommend indulging in the business lounge alcohol. Never been to business lounge but did test the November wind part last year.

I’m surprised you got cell service in the middle of the Baltic Sea on top of the good wifi speeds honestly!

It was a bit patchy to be honest but overall yes, quite surprising

Megastar is one of my favourites. I really like the free seating lounge perfect for 2 hours. Oh, and the cabins are closed no matter if they are booked or not. You get the ”key (same as your boarding pass) that you can use to unlock your cabin.

Absolutely, thanks Kap! I might just book one of those cabins for fun - i’m curious to test them out 👍

Tallink runs two two fast-ish ferries between Helsinki and Tallinn which both do the trip in 2 hous: the Star and the Megastar. The Star is quite a bit older (built in 2006) and much more utilitarian in its design than the Megastar but still decent. The Star will soon be replaced, though.
The sister ship to the Megastar called MyStar (very original, I know) was supposed to be finished earlier this year but it's been delayed due to supply chain issues and general Covid-related problems. It's now supposed to start service in September. en.tallink.com/en/tallink-shuttle-mystar-helsinki-tallinn-helsinki
