    Fun fact: Helsinki has the busiest passenger harbour in Europe.. well at least pre covid-19 it was. The main reason are the tens of thousands of Estonians living/working in Finland, plus the Northern Europeans love these short "cruises". The biggest ferries sail on the Helsinki-Stockholm route.

    • @KeepGoingPlaces

      That is a fun fact! We certainly enjoyed our ferry adventure through that harbor. Thanks for watching! ☺️

      @@rapator9270 I have been on all Tallink's, Viking Line's and Eckerö Line's current ships between Helsinki and Tallinn (except freight ships).
      I have never seen Program on Star or Megastar and Silja Europa can't be considered as one of "latest" ships.
      And as we began to talk about our previous experience. I have been on all the ships (except freight) going between Helsinki and Tallinn, Helsinki and Stockholm, Tallinn and Stockholm & Turku and Stockholm.
      Have a nice day! :3

      @@fiactional So explane me what "program" have to do with ship quality? You go to ship because of program?

    • @fiactional
      @fiactional 3 года назад

      @@rapator9270 When have I said that program equals to ship quality?
      The fact that Tallink's Megastar is the newest ship going the route doesn't mean that others have not quality.
      Of course it is always a prop for a cruise to have program so it is not so boring to just hang out for two hours and maybe eat something.

    I am Estonian-Finnish and i can honestly say you could also keep your luggage in the safe room aswell or a locker. Its about 2-5€ depending on the ferry. I have never been ripped off or seen it happen to a tourist(im 25 now so years of having to get ferrys). But if you need the quiet time and also with little kids it is better to get a cabin. 🙂 Great vlogs!

    I had a ride to Tallin with the same ship. It was really stormy winter night. The Baltic sea was extremely waving at that night.
    Also, I wanted to look around on the open deck. The wind was too strong to fly me over from the ship. I was nearly dead.
    I am looking forward to my next trip with this ship!

    Eckerö line - has an Great History ! Eckerö is situated on the Åland Islands ! The Islands - between Sweden and Finland is Åland ! Eckerö is the shortest way - after open sea to - inbetween Sweden to Finland ! The Mail carrying - was done thru there - thruout 12 months ! The Sea could be rough & diffycult - at winters - so the shortest way is the best " rowing " !

    The ferries in Scandinavia, north Europe, are really popular! Especially because of the tax free shop. ;) I know alot of Swedes go on the ferry to Finland yearly, same with Finns going to Sweden.
    A small history trivia, both Finland and Estonia was once part of Sweden. In Estonia that period is sometimes called "Good old Swedish times", or in Estonian "vana hea Rootsi aeg".
