Any opening into a space where lpg can seep.was a major red flag , hence question. LPG doesn't play nice . I once had to change a liquid off take tank due to faulty fill valve . I had to let the dregs loose to air . When you looked down to the bottom corner of the paddock it was like scene from an old horror film . A misty gathering 😅 It was for a grain dryer , it ran off a 1 inch hose and it was so loud when it ran
Is that a new tank? I've got a very elderly customer who've had their's replaced by Calor who filled it but then told him they wouldn't refill it again because it's incorrectly located and at risk. It's actually really accessible but is too close to the garage and boundary I believe. Looks like I might be installing bottles and changeover valve etc. I can't think of any other way out of it.
@@matthewdrew9370 why did calor change it ? they should have said sorry can’t replace it until it’s relocated and the tank was here when we moved in 2 years ago
@@tomkatgastraining I really haven't got a clue. This is what I'm told by my 85yr old customer but seems a bit off. This has reminded me about it so I think I'll call him tomorrow for an update. You're thinking the same as me though, why change it to start with?
Good work, what I would have done differently is cut the bushes at ground level, even though that is not a walking path, they will be a hazard for years to come, I think.
@@gheorghiuvasile266 the bushes stop the public from accessing the tank and also keeps the dog in the garden. I wanted to get rid and put up a fence but overruled by my wife 👍🏻
@tomkatgastraining my bet is the tank was there first and householders try and make it look better. Used to see it all the time , Calor in particular wouldn't fit unless everything was perfect regarding the regulations. There were one or two who would be more flexible. I fitted/ repaired for a rival who were strict too . And we saw many like that , it's OK until something goes wrong and then the blame game starts . Ultimately it is the tank owner , if they see its not correct anymore refuse to fill until it is. No one else can fill the tank .
A lesson on LPG storage regulations and a hedge trimmer review as well. Bonus
Watched for the usual infomative gas stuff, ended up watching Charlie dimmock cut their big bush 😅❤

Is that a drain ? There always used to be a minimum distance from an untrapped drain . I think it was 2m from memory

Can you buy a bulk tank and install it yourself ?
@@nicholasviney5975 no you rent it from the gas supplier who also installs it for a cost
@@tomkatgastraining just curious over the years I've seen quite a few installed in places they should not have been.
