  • Watch as The Duke of Cambridge and England manager Gareth Southgate talk mental health in the final episode of our #SoundOfSupport series.
Gareth shares his experiences of overcoming challenges in his career and his personal life, which impacted his mental health, and together they reflect on the effects of the pandemic on the nation’s mental wellbeing, and the role football can play in encouraging more people to seek support.
Heads Up is a season-long campaign, harnessing the power and influence of football to change the conversation on mental health. Through the Heads Up #SoundOfSupport series, we will keep breaking the silence around mental health - showing that talking about how we feel and what we’re going through is more important than ever, and encouraging everyone everywhere to make their support heard by those who need it.

He articulated that well. Sometimes that little voice in our own heads is an enemy. Never be ashamed to ask for help, we all go through it at some point in time.

First time I've seen this. Better late than never. Well done prince william and Gareth. Having worked with Williams charity. I can say your work is sterling and helps people rebuild their lives and realise their not alone. Keep shining bright xx

#Soundofsupport is a really good rally against the lockdown's effects of "alone together." I think both the speakers here really gave a lot of content to chew on. More power to this very relevant Heads Together campaign. Thank you for these continuing insights. I look forward to trawling your archives and seeing all the missing bits I have yet to see to help me put together my own toolkit for addressing post traumatic stress disorder and major depression. Hello, God bless you.

We all have it! To give reassurance you say something but you never go back on your word to people seeking reassurance!

If you take meds, TAKE THEM. If you have worrisome side effects, make sure you consult with your doctor before stopping at all. God Bless

This whole campaign is incredibly lame, additionally the logo used reminds me of the NPC meme

I apologise but I honestly do not know of anything to say that is positive about the way in which mental health issues are presented in the UK, other than it being wholly wrong, or is that not ok?

Who is they? Southgate & HRH?
I am not being mean, we have all had problems, I have, I took those antiDep pills, not appropriate, what I discover is this society is very much materialist and that there is another side to this reality other than this hyper atheist world view, most people who are in some way struggling are energetically depleted, probably quite sensitive people who can not quite cope with the pace of modern HighTech world, but the BIG thing is a lack of some form of spiritual practice (not necessarily a religion).
Additionally for children, I could not imagine being a child growing up or parent with all of this BS about the world climate, evil countries nuking us, what gender they are, that they might have white guilt, a lot of unhappy children in 2019, then covid, putting a mask on a child, wow, so wrong, a developing human needs to see your face my face everyones face so they can programme an understanding of facial expressions, how to relate to someone, how to even speak words.
Anyway the pills are poisonous, maybe you heard last summer 2022 it hit news for about a week that UCL had studied the basis of SSRI drugs and found that its rationale was shaky and that the Serotonin model was questionable, search for lead author ucl dr joana moncrieff for more.
There was a docu maybe late 2000's called Generation RX, ah there are actually loads of documentary's, this clip was great ruclips.net/video/4AX5P5iKRwM/видео.html
Lastly did you see the developments in Canada with MAID, Medical Assistance in Death, basically anyone can get medical help to kill themselves, this is now considered healthcare.
Carl Jung also check out some psychology.
      Sorry very random comments,
