  • On the 2nd of May I had my first appointment at the Gender Identity Clinic (GIC) and it became one of the most emotionally challenging days of my life. Me and Megan went to London together missing on train, getting lost with Sat Nav, having issues with a taxi driver before finally getting there 20 minutes late and being told that they weren't able to do my appointment now, but Megan pushed and asked if there was anything that could be done and that we would wait all day if we have to so we were finally told there was a cancellation which i could have, I had a great appointment. What started of as a horrible, stressful day became one of the most amazing days ever

      I know its difficult. I really struggle with the waiting times as well but look after yourself and keep strong because one day you will be on the other side looking back

    My appointment is in 2 days and this made me feel so much more at ease. Who did you have for your appointment? She sounds lovely and I'm hoping I've got her too.

      good luck with your appointment =, i hope all goes well for you. Are you going to Charing cross in London? as that is where my appointment was. I am glad my video was able to put you at ease, if you have any questions feel free to talk to me and I will help in any way I can

      @@kawaiicharlie9650 thanks dude. Yeah charing cross, I've got Dr. Scaronne bonhomme in the afternoon. My heart sank when you were too late for your appointment, luckily I'm taking a mate who'd do the same haha. Planning on getting into London a few hours early just to be super safe though.

      @@kawaiicharlie9650 oh BTW, did they ask you about what you do for a living much? I wasn't always out in previous jobs and am worrying they'd hold that against me.

    • @kawaiicharlie9650
      @kawaiicharlie9650  5 лет назад

      @@frazerk6141 they did ask me what i did for work but they only asked if there was any problems when i did come out. It wont be held against you for not coming out at work as you should only come out when you are ready, they may give you some advice on coming out and go over how you should be treated when you do feel ready to come out. They are mostly just checking that you have support and how you feel about every thing that's going on around you. I wish you all the best for you appointment, let me know how it all goes.

      @@kawaiicharlie9650 ah OK, I'm currently self employed/working on my moms business, out to everyone in my life, got a lot of support, really lucky there. Just when I was employed, the people I worked with and a lot of customers were transphobic, in any other situation I never hide who I am or let people treat me badly, but I've just had some horrible experiences in workplaces and you can't tell bosses or customers to f*ck off and stand up for yourself unless you want a load more grief. Got my name changed now though so Next time I get a job though I'm being me from the start. Thanks, will do. Your video really gave me a lot of hope.
