- Well, all heroes eventually fall, right? This time my buddy was out on the sound, we were having an amazing day of fishing then the Green Spark just blew a code. Suddenly, it died. Here are the results.
The 900 ace engine has roots from snow mobiles. Its incredibly reliable seeing as how you don't want to freeze to death stranded somewhere. I would just replace the sensor and go from there. Kawi and Yammi noobs calm down Sparks are the best more fun then you can imagine.
This guy gets it
Been searching for days, swapped the sensor and it fired right up, thank you!
You do know the diagnostic plug doesnt have to be plugged in to run? Its a dummy end the plugs into a holder.
as a sea doo tech i could tell before you put the diagnostics on it its a cam or crank sensor problem, ive never had too retime rotax engine (dirt, street or water) i would start buy replacing the cam sensor, you can remove the top deck quick and easy, i do it in about 15min if the sensor doesnt fix it i would replace the harness, ive had to replace many of them, download a shop manual and go threw the harness test, a cheap multimeter will be good enough.
Awesome info, thanks. I already bought the sensor and hoping it's just that, if not then I'll be ohming out the harness. Cross your fingers!!
@@WeTryMotorsports yessir if the sensor doesnt fix it ohm out the harness and do the "wiggle" test, theres 2 seperate harness's on it ecm a and ecm b so make sure your testing the correct harness.
Do you ride near Destin, FL?
You have to go inside the motor to replace the cam position sensor. I don't envy you.
Can you post a link to that code/map reader? Been looking for one that works with 2021 spark trixx. And others
www.pwcmuscle.com/riva-hand-held-map-tuner-x.html
I wouldn't mess around with maptunerx. There are other options available that do the same thing for a fraction of the price. A power vision 3 offers way more bang for your $. $400 is all you need for the device, tune license, and diagnostics all in one. Maptunerx is $400 for the device, then another $500+ for a license. And I don't know if that includes diagnostics. You have to purchase diagnostics for each vehicle you use it on.
rip the green ski
RIP in peace
@@WeTryMotorsports Did the green ski actually die saw that ya were tearing it apart.
@@chadillac3006 not completely torn apart yet, holding off while I clean some stuff up lol
Do you recommend the 2 seater or 3 seater TRIXX?
2 definitely. A spark is really not made for more than one person in my opinion. Unless you like nuts smashed
Did you ever fix it, and what was problem
iirc knock sensor, oil and coolant. good as new
Did you share a video on the sensor replacement?
It died in the name of science 😔
Lmao so true. We now know how long a 115 horsepower tune will last on a 60 horsepower ski. To be honest I think the wire or sensor is corroded from all of the salt water. We will find out soon!
@@WeTryMotorsports im hoping it wasn't from the tune. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it was just a bad sensor
@@stufadrummer very unlikely it's from the tune, the general consensus is the sensor. Finding that out soon. The ride prior to it was an absolute saltwater soaker
I decided to go with the Yamaha jet blaster. Similar in ability to the spark trixx, albeit a bit less, but much more sturdy, faster and reliable.
Agreed i regret buying my pos spark
Sea Don't... Just don't.
Although I hate the name, can't wait to try the knock off Trixx. The EX Plus should be a fun ski regardless of being enormously weighted. If it's fun enough, there might be a new Yami in my arsenal O_O
@@WeTryMotorsports EXR?
@@Colin_Masterson239 EXR is previous model, I'm just making a joke lol. I'm just a little hurt Yamaha didn't give us an actual wave blaster
Buy 3 new spark plugs.
already gottem, if you see my oil change video they're sittin' in the box!
Thumbs down for the annoying adverts.
sorry man, we have no choice now. RUclips puts ads on everything. you can always get AdBlock to remove them 😔 it sucks to get thumbs down for something I have no control over
