    To make this process easier and quicker, I leave a "quick connect" permanently installed in my flush port. I also have a shut off valve on the end of the water hose so I don't have to run back and forth to the spigot.

    • @jerrydixon9865
      @jerrydixon9865 2 года назад +1

      @@sandeespraguemccolm7158 yes, start by putting the hose in the left port first and turn the JetSki on. Turn the water on ASAP and let it run for about 60 sec. You should see water run out the hole on the right side where you will put the hose next after doing the left side. Turn water off and proceed to turn off the motor. take your hose off and install it on the right side and turn the motor on but make sure the motor is running before you turn the water on. Now let the water flush out the inter-cooler you should see water coming out of the hole on the left side and there should be a little tiny hole right above your hose. water should start to spit out of that and that’s when you know it’s probably getting close to being completely flush. Let it run for about 60 seconds then disconnect the water and rev the engine about two or three times but not too high and then shut her off. That should be it….👍

    Is there any way to keep the carbon seal cool by pushing some water into the intake port?

    • @ROBERTSONSPOWERSPORTS
      @ROBERTSONSPOWERSPORTS  2 года назад +4

      One way to keep it cool is by pouring water on the seal while it is running, some people will fill the hull with water enough to cover the carbon ring to help keep it cool as well. If you decide to put water in the hull just keep the nose of the boat at a slight incline, it will help fill up over the carbon ring quicker and also keep water away from electrical components. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

      Those are drain ports for when water accumulates in hull. Open if a lot of water was taken in and moving forward ONLY. And also open once on trailer to let excess water drain out.
      The FLUSH PORT is just above the drain port on right(?) Side only. Use the upper one to flush out motor/exhaust. Open lower two on left and right to let water out of hull (but nothing to do with flushing, albeit they’re the same size.

      correct me if I'm wrong but some skis have the flush port on the left side behind the gate hard to get a hose on so using a quick disconnect is the right answer.. you can leave it attached all the time... the ski above has the flush port on the right so different than mine (2017 GTRx-230).. all my skis have the flush port on the port side (older 1996 GTX, 2004 GTX, 2006 RTX) so I guess after 2018? they put the flush port on the right side. Or is this just for the 300 models? In the end I do it the same as the OP but use a permanent quick disconnect adapter on the ski(s) and one on the hose. I also use a turn on/off vavle/adapter at the end of the hose as my spigot is crazy far away lol. Tanks for the video and perhaps someone can explain the 2 styles of flush ports (not to be confused with the obvious drain plugs.
