it's amusing when the critics laugh that Los Angeles has a hockey team...but the Kings have been in L.A longer than most other NHL cities have had their teams..
I used to LOVE the Atlanta Flames logo. I know Calgary is ok but damn the fiery A looked so wicked. I had a couple NHL magnets when I was 10 or so. The Flyers, Flames, Northstars, Sabres, and Blackhawks. I always wanted the whole set. It's also wild how so many teams had names that crossed over all sports. Pittsburgh Pirates hockey team. Colorado Rockies too.You can see this factoid with all sports and teams. I had forgotten Atlanta lost their team twice...the Flames then the Thrashers. Atlanta needs to have a Hockey team again.
@AG-tl8oq It looked like Saskatoon was going to get one in 1983. At the time, the owner of the St. Louis Blues had no interest in running the team any longer. It looked like they would move, but the person who was interested in buying them had his proposal rejected by the NHL. This resulted in the Blues not participating in that year's NHL draft, and the league scrambling to find a suitable owner so they could operate for that coming season. They eventually did at the last minute, just barely keeping the team in St. Louis.
Man that only 6 team era was crazy glad people was like Hey what about these other states, I am so Glad 🦈 formed. Hope Atlanta gets another team in future and Happy for Seattle joining. Last thing Kansas City should have one to or heck New Orleans down there even
And in 1926 SH*T got REAL. Blackhawks and Rangers join the NHL. I love these old reflections, even if they are a bit off in some cases. It took till 67 for any team to get west of Chicago. I vaguely remember having a retro California Seals logo on something. Maybe a old hockey card.
There is only one mistake and that's the Tampa Bay Lightning's logo the 1992-2001 actually had a white lightning and blue words before the 2001-2007 logo and that one now had the dark blue words but it still has the white lightning until 2007
I like the fact that the Chicago Black Hawks changed their name to the Chcago Blackhawks, making it one word instead of two.

If the team had been run properly, it's possible the team in Oakland could have lasted longer, or at least not be a laughingstock.
