Sylveon is currently really insane, Evo from mathcord did all the numbers for the highest damaging set for MF and turns out it's a set that can run on HV too! That means you can flex between both sets with the same items and not lose out.
I thought for the longest time muscle was king for MF but the math disproved that, still helps you do objectives faster but the skirmishing muscle isn't as good. Here's the set.
Spoon/StackingSpecs/Choice, x-spd preferred, +30 sp.atk (can get higher with gold lugia) Emblems with full green and white, don't drop move speed more then 45 to keep it at normal speed.
Weirdly this set does more damage than the normal mf build even without muscle, but again it does objectives faster.
It's really nice to be able to flex pick based on m/u. If there's 2/3 speedsters and we don't have solid cc I would never want to play hv since they can outplay too hard by being on top of you and ejecting around.
Stinks to lose the curse but isn't the biggest deal, the raw damage makes up for it.

@AteloM I'll write out a full emblem set, it isn't 100% optimized but is a bit better overall than just full offense. My sylveon I prefer to go full sp.atk but in reality the difference between +30sp.atk from Emblems and +25sp.atk with more health focus, it's better to go +25. It's most important to get the color bonuses when you don't have golds since without lots of golds there's lots benefit from flat stats.
Butterfree/Porygon/Porygon2/Moltres/Lugia/Exeggutor/Venusaur/Ivysaur/Venomoth/Articuno
This gets you 6 green, 6 white, +50 HP, +25 sp.atk (rounds down from 25.5), with just a small loss of sp.def which is negligible. The -35 speed doesn't change your speed bracket so you remain max speed.
Conversely a few sylveon players who only do hv run enough speed Emblems to be around 180 speed, but personally I prefer to go full damage and space properly; though the extra little micro speed can get you into position a bit easier. It's very miniscule though with loss to damage potential.

Also i believe older mons like sylveon is stomping super hard these days bcoz a lot of players in the game rn are too new and haven't actually played against it(i was literally stomping with gren char and machamp since last few days in 1500 masters and honestly i wasn't even playing as cautiously bcoz the opposition just seemed too clueless.) Unfamiliarity with not so popular/older mons seems to be very common currently. This comment section is a perfect example of it calling sylvyeon "unfair" and also there reasoning behind it.

I'm really not a fan of Choice Specs on Sylveon. Eevee base Sp. ATK is so low that it barely makes a difference early and fights take so long later, I almost never feel like the extra bit of burst damage is worth it.
I always run Sp. Atk Specs on Hyper Voice and Muscle Band on Mystical Fire instead.

Probably because of the ease of application on anti-heal, HV and MF has low CDs and hits a lot(re-applying anti-heal a lot as well).
At best, it's a great item if you know the enemy has loads of high sustain mons, but if they don't then any other SPatk or survivability item works better than it.

Mewtwo Y is broken, yes. It just appears worse than it is due to bad players using it as a crutch. When Ttar was buffed, a lot of bad players stopped playing Falinks and started playing Ttar. As a result, the winrate for Falinks soared, even past Ttar, and people started whining about how broken Falinks is now. How did it become broken without any buffs or a balance patch? Simple, it just shed some of its bad players.
