My G80 sounds incredible now with the valvetronic catback and ActiveAutowerke Downpipes. You should definitely look into single midpipes for this platform

Yeah, if you are in the US. If you have it in Europe, you're stuck with the factory sound. Unless you install some exhaust which would add 1-2 decibels which is not worth it.

Yes, it's forbidden to modify the exhaust unless the manufacturer of the exhaust approved it for the car, which means the noise and emission levels are kept within the obligatory range. If you removed the secondary cats or OPFs from this car in the European Union, you could get problems at the TÜV. @@MNE0000

Manual gang!
I have a very similar spec, make sure you have something to protect your bolsters on the white leather. My first M car, the biggest complaint I have is how fragile the leather feels. Any little scratch stands out like a sore thumb. Also, make sure you PPF around your rear wheels, the cars curvature creates some interesting natural places for rocks to catch. Enjoy.

Smart man, very smart man for buying a manual.....in a few years people are going to wonder why you have that smile on your face while driving, when others just look bored.
That binnacle and switchgear is worlds better than the current giant screen!. I still don't like the Venetian blinds testes shape of the grille and never will. I have seen people change the front bumper with something that makes those grilles much smaller and it looks worlds better. All in all thought a great car.

The button that you think controls the exhaust valves is actually the artificial exhaust button that pumps noise through the speakers. Valves are controlled with the m button.
Wait what...gonna drive to work tomorrow and verify but I thought the button does both

Land Rover has had this interior for 4 years now in the velar autobiography and 7 years in the sport.. It’s not new for us top of the line Land Rover folks but I am going back to a manual Audi R8 or M4. Tired of automatics even if they do 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and stock quarter in 12.8 seconds . And I noticed you’re young and most of you kids don’t need a $100k car so hopefully you own it outright and aren’t paying car payments which most of California under 30 year olds do. Live within your means. Nothing wrong with a new 2024 Honda Accord. 🤙

Great video about a Great car. I am in the maket for one, can you tell me how is comfort on bad road (it s almost all we have here) ? Can you set the suspension soft?
I’ve heard that the carbon seats are an issue with the manual as you have to engage the clutch. Has that been your experience?

Nice car, but hope you done have brakes squeeze noise under 10,000 miles... Mine is 2022 M4 Comp less thane 10,000 miles I have rear brake squeeze eveytime I it the brake... Brought to dealer they said that is normal for the M4... Congra on your new M4
Good to know, my brakes are noisy but they get quiet the more I drive it
Yep. Noting you can do about that. Try bedding every now and again, it helps with the noise. But if its parked for over a week and it rains, you back to square-1.

the stock clutch can't even handle the stock power after certain of miles so putting in another clutch (like ptb) is the way to go!
@@brettsneyers7019 thanks mate - interesting. Consider that I use it as 3rd car (around 6.000km/Year), and I am not doing hard pulls in 1.-2. Gear usually.

I hated the DCT …. the zf8 in the g80 platform is superior there is a reason why bmw got rid off DCT …… stop complaining about the tires exotic cars such as Ferrari , Lamborghini , Aston and others come with Pzeros
M-DCT is no question superior in pure performance, even BMW acknowledges it in one of their videos that zf8 was chosen for comfort, and that M-DCT is faster on a racetrack. Only reason you wouldn't like a DCT is if you didn't need or know how to drive a sequential manual/manual gearbox. If zf8 were indeed superior, every supercar manufacturer would be using them, but they don't because of many limitations such as 7200 rpm limit due to oil cavitation. These are pedestrian gearboxes, not the exotic Getrag DCTs we used to have.

@@qwertyqwerty-zi6dr F82 is not garbage...it can still beat many cars when tuned properly. Weight to power ratio is still top of the game. Most cars now becoming boats.
Manual cars are totally OVERRATED!!!!
