*Ingushetia has entered the chat* But in all seriousness, I do plan on getting to the Mari-El Republic eventually. I am working through the federal subjects in alphabetical order.
I am in this region now (just across the border from it actually in the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast). I visited the town of Shumerlea and other nearby settlements. I have to say for a small provincial town Shumerlea is well developed. It has automobile industry and all the services one would need. I plan to come again and visit more of Russia as its a fascinating blend of nations.
@@allaboutrussia2022 I can tell you one thing - All Street and town markings are bilingual in Chuvashia. Chuvash and Russian. The same applies to the Republic of Tatarstan with Tatarian and Russian.
Sadly I do not. I've gathered my sources from a half dozen books and articles regarding Chuvashia. I hope one of the subs can recommend something more concise!
@@allaboutrussia2022 As a representative of the Chuvash nation, I will say that the Chuvash state (temporarily occupied by Russia) is within the Idel-Ural state. And in theory, in relation to this state formation, it has a border with Kazakhstan. But okay, this is only in the future. If you take reality, you probably think correctly.

They follow Orthodox Church?
As of the 2012 survey, over 60% of people polled were Orthodox Christians. That is across all people in the Republic, not just Chuvash.
