    Exercise are good but this pianist doesn’t take into consideration that there are not 3 pairs of eights in the right hand! There are TWO groups of three eights each! It’s very important. So if you’re making exercise with stops- stop on each three eights, not two.

      Thank you. This is Chopin’s most clever musical trap, and everyone has fallen into it. The triplets in the RH are the metrical pulse and the LH is the cross rhythm. Everyone thinks this is one of the easier etudes. Not true! If you play it incorrectly, it is easy, but Chopin knew better!
