Hell yeah it’s worth it! I played it when it first released, and I STILL play it today, I did just yesterday as I’m doing a new playthrough to prepare for the sequel. I love this game and how it’s so historically accurate (compared to most games) and the combat is so realistic as well. It’s an amazing game and I cannot wait for the sequel.
I played it through when it first released then didn't play again until I heard the sequel is coming out. I just finished my second playthrough last night and may start another one tonight. Since I played as a squeaky clean Henry the first two times this time I want to play as a more morally "grey" Henry who, while not a monster, is more inclined towards being unscrupulous to get ahead.
This is one of my favourite games of all time. It's one of my cozy games. I find it so relaxing for some reason. I love how Henry starts off as such a simpleton and you have to build him up lol.
You can create savior schnapps once you learn alchemy. You just need to find or buy the ingredients, I had like dozens of it at some point. The only downside is that if you try to "quicksave" many times in a row, like during a particular tricky quest, you'll end up drunk
I bloody love this game, the skill levelling feels immersive in the best ways, especially if youre playing for the first time as you learn everything with Henry, how to fight, how to steal, how to chat people up and even how to read, IMO its one of the best simulator games to ever exist, Henry isnt some lord of death capable of soloing an army, even a 1v2 can be tricky but once you get into it and figure the basics and more advanced techniques like feinting, which took me like 3 playthroughs to even learn of, it becomes far easier than you initially thought while flailing a longsword too early in the game Its a game designed to have the player take their time learning and imroving, theres a few things I could say about this video that I either agree with or disagree with but liking anything is a matter of preference, if you ( yes you, the one reading me, frick you in particular) think the game is interesting, take a deeper dive into it, maybe buy it and see for yourself The devs, Warhorse studio, deserve praise for what started out as being entirely funded on patreon
It is. I'm currently replaying KCD1 while waiting for KCD2. The game still blows my mind and I still find couple of side quests that I never discovered years ago 😮
I finally beat this game in November 2024 in preparation for the sequel. I don’t regret waiting so long to play it, because most of the bugs have been smooth out by that point, and it was one of my favorite gaming experiences and the last five years. Combat breaks down when you are fighting more than two enemies at a time, but everything else about the game is flawless in my opinion. Can’t wait for the sequel
Yes it is. I just found this game two weeks ago. I'm surprised I never heard of it before. I own so many games on STEAM. This has become my favorite it's its genres.
Im playing it and the answer is yes, one of the best games i had in years. I will say best rpg since witcher 3. Setting, music, characters, story. Yes at first sight it was intimidating but once you get used is addicting. And in one month we get the sequel!
Haven't watched the vid yet but I just started my replay in the last few days after having completed it for the first time after patches post-launch but this time on hardcore mode and it is 100% worth it. If anyone is replaying it I highly suggest hardcore mode, it takes what makes the game great and amplifies it. Like just a few hours ago when I was playing it I was making my way back after finding Ginger but I ran into some Cumans on the road so I had to run since I was nowhere near equipped to deal with them. I managed to get away from them but I was lost in the woods so I had to pull my map out and find a shrine that I had discovered previously which allowed me to reorient myself and get on my way where the game purpose of a shrine is exactly that (in the codex). This is just one of countless stories I have within hardcore mode within 10 - 20 hours of playtime.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is such a unique gem in the RPG world-love that you revisited it in 2025! Its attention to historical accuracy and grounded gameplay still stand out in today’s gaming landscape. Your video has me thinking about how timeless mechanics and storytelling can make older games worth revisiting. Speaking of which, I recently uploaded a video titled '30 INSANE New Games Coming in 2025 & 2026! From The Game Awards 2024 Reveals'-it’s exciting to compare these upcoming titles to classics like Kingdom Come. Would love to hear how you think these new games might stack up! Great content as always-keep it coming!
I downloaded it and played it after seeing all the KCD2 build up. I was absolutely loving it, got 30 hours in, and then i accidentally pressed new game when trying to press save game and that deleted all my save files, even on steam servers. cant believe it.
I have over 200 hours and counting in the game and I can safely say this is one of my most favorite games ( nearly on par with Rdr2 for me) I came across this game while I was endlessly browsing through the Microsoft store and decided to give it a go which was one of the best decisions of my life. This game really changed me emotionally and helped me out through those tough days. 10/10!
Rather than just bringing plate armour with you everywhere what is a good idea is to have different sets for what you are going to do. Like in my first run I had a set for when I would normally go around which gave me good charisma but it didn't weigh a ton for me so it didn't hamper my movement too much. I then had a more robust plate armour, heavy helmet etc set for when I knew I would be fighting a lot and another for if I am approaching it from a sneaking angle so I could kill them all without even fighting.
Bought KC:D in 2019 and, like many, found it daunting so set it aside after an hour or two. Picked it up again last year, stuck with it and now it has become my favorite game ever!
I play it for the 4th time now and it is still a great game, i play it to get right into KCD2 as it comes out to finally get my revenge! ahem, i meant he gets his XD !
Great video. I would love to hear your thoughts about playing with mods. I haven't played this game yet, will probably try it when I see a very good sale. My understanding is that there are some pretty incredible mods that eliminate all the cons in this video.
I am a kickstarter backer, when it played the beta I was pissed. It was so bad, the alchemy was broken, the map traversal felt awful, I was so disappointed. Skip ahead to after release and I decided to give the game another try. Man.... although some quests are infuriatingly simple, some are the complete opposite but once you settle in you'll find your way to play this game. I suck at combat so I went full stealth archer. After some hours I realised the mace is objectively the best weapon in the game because it negates need for skill, parries etc. Just bonk em on the head, rinse and repeat. I pre-ordered the gold edition and cannot wait.
@@dominika3762 when an enemy starts their attack animation, you immediately start parrying followed by attacking. It's actually pretty difficult to get down at first but now i've gotten it down to a T :)
I like this game I played like 10 hours on console but the combat with a control is atrocious so I never played passed 10 hours but I just bought it again on pc to beat it before 2 comes out and it's way better on pc then console especially the combat
The combat is awful. Even with everything leveled up AND with the best armor. 1 on 1 is no problem after a while. But later you'll come across bandits that gang up on you, all of them wearing full armor. The only time i was lucky enough to beat them was thanks to the dog Mutt. But Mutt won't help until you leveled up your houndmaster skill. And on top of that, Mutt is from a DLC. The games biggest strength is how immersive it can get at times with its atmosphere and how you need to eat and sleep. But it has inconsistencies that hardcore fans love to defend. Such as the bow mechanics having no reticle. Fans claim it's more realistic. And yet we are talking about a game that gives you map markers and a compass and the ability to percieve when the correct timing for a block is with the green shield indicator.
I tried playing Kingdom Come, but I can't do it. I can not STAND the first person view, and not to mention first person games make me feel sick (motion sickness).
God that game was so intimidating when I first played! Can't wait for KD2!
Indeed it is, Commander. Henry is a True Medieval Prothean. I approve of this Cycle and I can't wait for the Second Cycle, next month.
Glad you played it man! The sequel is going to blow minds.
@@WolfheartFPS i have no doubts, especially for older fans!

If you feel it’s worth it, it’s worth it

Yeah I heard the same - Haven't tried any however, as I wanted to get the proper experience that most players cross platform has had or will have :)

Let’s go!!
Loved this game, so refreshing to have a game that don’t wipe your arse for you.

I too wasn't a fan of a medieval setting in games. KCD changed that to the complete opposite.
❤
