The ability to copy/paste all adjustments (including layers, masks etc). My brain likes to do the balancing on one layer, then the “styling” on another. Would be great to copy everything at once and paste to photos from the same session. Thanks for the great videos btw!
Hi, is it possible to get the menu/adjustment bar in the iPad App to the left side of the screen? As a left hander it‘s really annoying to do adjustments with the pencil and your hand covering the picture youre editing…
I would love to see an automatic lens correction feature in Photomator. This is one feature which is missing, that is preventing me from fully switching over to this product. Other than that, they do build a great product! I hear Apple has some lens correction built into their raw engine, but Canon R series cameras I hear aren't supported as of yet...
What I'm really waiting for (and what's stopping me from purchase) is any usable form of image culling. Managing what to keep, and what not is almost as important for me as editing by itself
@@JosephSlinker Flagging, rating, etc. Even if there was a single button, labelled 'Mark for Deletion,' I think that makes Photomator the clear winner over Lightroom, at least in my eyes.
Hey. Love your Photomator tutorials! In terms of feature requests - I would *love* to see JPEG XL export as an option in Photomator. From my initial experiments in Lightroom it seems to keep almost all the benefits of RAW but with vastly reduced file sizes. And the latest Mac and iOS updates support JPEG XL throughout, so it would be a perfect workflow fit.
1. Dehaze tool 2. More presets/LUTS--eg skintone presets (and with categories for like, skin tones as an example. or Landscape, cityscape, etc) with like its own section in the menu for presets as opposed to it being a bar at the bottom. Maybe the presets at the bottom could be AI recommendations and then a comprehensive list in its own section. Just a thought but that could take a while to develop correctly. 3. Lens corrections specific to a wide range of lenses Number 2 is probably wishful thinking but I think it'd be phenomenal
Can we please enter specific Kelvin values for white balance please? The WB sliders right now are a bit ambiguous if you have multiple scenes to edit with different WB.
RAW format support is great. But without lens correction that is not of much use. In my case I shoot Canon R cameras and RF lenses. Apple does support the RAW files but do not provide lens correction. Now modern lenses depend on lens correction, so without it it goes nowhere. Unless Photomator also address lens correction it is not a viable RAW processor. I got DXO PureRaw4 to fill the gap, but it is not ideal as it adds larges files in the workflow and it an extra step. I really hope Photomator becomes a proper RAW editor.
I'd love to see AI powered automatic lens correction. When I take a photo using iPhone with 0,5 zoom it distorts photo heavily. The same with other lenses (e.g. when the person is on the side of the photo or I'm taking vertical photo and the person is at the bottom or bottom corner). It would be really cool to be able to straighten it automatically so that it looks as it should. The feature may be incorporated either in Pixelmator Pro or Photomator or... maybe both.
Ability to isolate specific tonal ranges for masking. Having the ability to isolate Darks 1,2 & 3, Mids 1,2,3 & Lights 1,2 & 3. This is where panels have the upper hand in PS. I would assume that these would need to be presets? I think this would be a game changer. So a general improvement in masking to avoid global adjustments. Thank you Joseph!
Highlight and shadow clipping warnings on the histogram & whilst talking about that make the histogram sizeable as its too small for my poor eyes! also would be nice to have the temp slider in kelvin not percentage please. Expanded ranges for highlight and shadow sliders :)
My feature request would be a way to work with negative film scans/converting them in Pixelmator Photo. Film photography is becoming popular these days. Would definitely prefer to have the entire process take place in a single app instead of relying on some lesser known small tools.
@@JosephSlinker The entire flow is missing. Apps like FilmLab or the Negative Lab Pro plugin for Lightroom are made specifically for film processing. Converting them to positives, choosing the exact film stock from the list which would automatically apply certain settings to cater to a certain look, and so forth.
@@JosephSlinker sorry that's fairly self-explanatory. You make a selection. Then you copy an Image and then come back and then try to paste it into the selection and it doesn't work. In Affinity Photo 2 there are many options and none of them work. The same as Pixelmator Pro and Krita. Photoshop is still the only image manipulator that can do this. Imagine you have a sky and it's cloudy and all you want to do is replace the cloudy sky with a sunny sky you think that would be easy and it should be but you can't do it. Or in Photoshop it's very very easy but not in any of these other programs. There are people that say that there are workarounds and there are but they are complicated and messy. An even some of them don't work. I've been talking about this for years. Why don't these companies get their act together and do something that Photoshop has been doing for 30 years?
I'm asking because here's the flow I always use in Pixelmator: 1. Make selection 2. Copy an image 3. Paste into Pixelmator 4. Right-click to make mask from selection It's also straightforward to just paste the image in first, then make the selection, then mask with the selection.
What feature do you need in Photomator?

Automatic lens correction feature
It would be great if the watermark is also available in the export workflow on Mac.
@timravesteijn it is! I made a video about it.

Maybe the most requested feature on this video.

That's a really good list. I'll send it along!
I would like to see some kind of rating or sorting photos in Files view. Especially on iPad.
Coming very soon
I’d really like a Dehaze tool as well as frames for the iPad app (only reason I still keep darkroom)
We need photo-merging ASAP for exposure/ fucks bracketing and panoramic
lens corrections, of course with a good control like lightroom, I like correcting some distortion and leaving in vignette
Lens correction is maybe the most popular request on this video. Haha

Good one! I didn't even think of that.

What would make it complete (or almost) for me would be the stitch and stack ability. Plus lens correction of course 😉
Some of my favorites I'm hoping for in the future.

Sounds like a good use of AI to me.
Panorama stitching! That's missing. Correction for chromatic aberration as well.

How about Olympus E-M5 mark iii?
I'm not sure. You'll have to check their website for the full list of supported raw formats.
Just a easy and quick Feature. Pls add the Vignete tool to the ipad app. THX
I don't use the iPad app often. Didn't even think of this one.
I’d be happy if I were able to paste an image into a selection. I could do that in photoshop 2
Can you explain what you mean?

@@JosephSlinker Quick question. Are you using an iPad or other tablet or a Mac or other desktop machine?
@user-me3ii1mw4g this is all on desktop. That’s what most of my videos focus on, but I’m looking into doing videos for iPhone and iPad later.
Adding artboards in Pixelmator Pro
I'm curious what you'd do with them?
We need support for .xmp preset files, to transfer all our lightroom presets to photomator
Direct preset import would be a game changer.
WHere's the history list for Pixelmator Pro? It's already 2024
That's the first time I've heard someone request that one!
A blur feature
Interesting. Technically a photo can be sent to Pixelmator for that, but I can see that directly in Photomator
