The only trait your ambassador has that is useful is +5% counter espionage, and that's only a benefit if you leave him on your home world. There is zero benefit and actually some negatives to you sending him away. What I'm reading that people do on the Steam forums in dismiss characters that have undesirable traits and "reroll" with a new one looking for improvement. Best of luck! Great series! Edit: You're doing the right thing with the fuel tankers. Set them to automatic and have 4-5 of them. There's a bug that's been identified on the Steam forums, where you put fuel tankers in fleets and it turns out the tanker is the most aggressive ship, charging straight at the enemy (with no guns). Haha! Should be addressed in the next couple weeks.

Graylix space monster closely resembles the Vorlon ships in the Babylon 5 TV series.

If the private sector builds civilian ships (mining ships) then they pay you for it. If you build them manually, you pay for it. ;-) The AI is wack at this point, but it does do a decent job building necessary civilian ships (not including passenger ships). Seems there's some bug with the latter, oh and med mining ships. Haha!

I presume researching advanced classes in Teekan (Gerbileese) is on your mind, if not on your research plan. I can see you want/need everything but given you've made contact with 2 or three separate Teekan groups, diplomacy seems logical. 🖖
