    No mention of lebron's footwork..on all 3 of his shots he caught it in a split catch to get in rhythm. It's different from the typical hop into the shot, and it'd be interesting to see how the footwork in his misses were like.

    defensively the Haeks really miss Demarre Carroll, His ability to guard the other teams top player was invaluable. Bazemore has done a decent job,but he lacks the size that Carroll has to play the bigger SFs. The Hawks team defense was very solid last year, this year they aren't nearly as good.

  • @GregS-1981

    When JR gets hot, he makes some tremendous shots. He could be a much better player if he could get more consistent. shot selection seems to be a big problem for him, because He takes such difficult shots.

  • @thexalon
    @thexalon 8 лет назад

    This makes things look worse for the Hawks than I thought (admittedly, I'm from Cleveland, so very biased here). I had thought that the problem was that they had been beaten too much in the paint in game 1 and were following a coach decision to sag to prevent dribble penetration. When in fact it sounds like the problem was just basic defensive lapses, and J.R. Smith nailing ridiculous shots he had no business making.

    I like how people are saying (charles barkley) the hawks need to "take them out" meaning to rough up the cavs a bit, but I like how nobody is saying that when the warriors shoot 3's like that, and what type of shit is that, so what if you do "take them out" will that translate to a win? no that stuff is just immature, finish the game like a man and don't get mad and try to hurt someone, this is the NBA not streetball, this has me thinking that 80s basketball was full of idiots

      Barkley was talking about the bench players of the Cavs, he said it was disrespectful by them, not by the starters and that that was the reason why he would "set the tone" by fouling hard. I dont see anything wrong with that. It is just another part of the game and hey, if u disrupt ur opponent's concentration that way fine. Also I can't agree more with him on sending a message for game 3, obviously it has to come along with playing some kind of defence by the Hawks.

    • @edvirgiliom

      Sbij Akan exactly. role is completely different. teams have to prepare their defensive scheme around the big 3 while JR gets to play the come off screens and roam around the 3 point line and jack up shots on low usage % role. with Kyrie and Love out it's a completely different story. the whole team is compromised when you take out 2 of those guys.

    • @SerialGrunt
      @SerialGrunt 8 лет назад

      ***** the game is simplified for him hence his strength of effortlessly bombing away is is beefed up. it's not rocket science. you break down a role players role into the fitting hole, the strengths are amplified.
      just think of guys who were uber valuable on one or more teams and not so much on others - Trevor Ariza, Jason Terrry, Timo Mozgov last year with the cars before his knee surgery in the off season, Delonte West, Mo Williams, Marcin Gortat, Rudy Gay, Antoine Walker, Antonio Mcdyes, Arron Afflalo..

I think the record was 70, (GS is at 69), but the Cavs hit 97 :O So it's not just one good shooting night. They are the best 3-point team in the NBA playoffs right now, and it ain't even close.

    Watching this was worse than the game itself. As a life long Hawks fan, I was embarrassed and disappointed in the effort of lack there of from my team. The Cavs are in the head of the Hawks right now and I dont think this team is mentally tough enough to overcome the loss the other night. That game will change the entire future of the the franchise. I could possibly see 4 of the 5 five starters not being on the team. They will lay down tonight and Sunday and the nightmare of a series will be over. I love Coach Bud as a coach, but its evident he doesnt have the horses to even compete with the a team like the Cavs.

      +MrYoumitube not really. You had fans from the Hawks and Raptors who beat the Cavs handily in the regular season thinking it was a confidence booster and those two teams were going to give it to the Cavs. Jokes on them since the playoffs are always a higher intensity and preparation than regular season.

    calling this series over is kinda disrespectful, given that cavs only did their job, winning both at home, and the series is yet to move to atlanta. now, i agree that this is probably not gonna be a series past game 5 or 6, but this game means absolutely nothing in the long run, besides, hawks gave up in the middle of the second quarter (admitedly, not a good sign). mad fire from this game is not gonna carry over to the next game, they are gonna get back to being above average. the only real effect of this game could be in breaking hawks spirit, which we'll see in game 3. i still don't see cavs getting past spurs or warriors, they aren't on their level of basketball consistently as they were in this game.

      no he is not, he actually signed his contract with the left hand and just shoots with the right. google might be your friend.

      wutz kopp LeBron is not left-handed, but he might as well be. He writes with his left but everything else with his right. It's very common. He's ambidextrous.

    Also, people need to stop calling Jeff Teague & Al Horford underrated. They aren't superstar level players
    STOP

    • @fairmoves
      @fairmoves 8 лет назад

      We know that. But they are still underrated. Teague is one of the top 15 PGs in the league IMO and Al Horford is arguably top 10 Centers in the league. They both are very good players. They don't get treated like it by the common fan.

      FairMoves
      they're just good. They're not underrated lol.
      LaMarcus Aldridge was an underrated player due to the fact he played in Portland (a small market).
      Chris Webber is underrated when discussing all-time great players during the mid-90s, early 2000s.
      Al Horford is good...he's not underrated.

    I don't see anything special. heat, gsw, & spurs can easily defend this. it was just a good game for the cavs.
