Just bought two of them a couple nights ago. Thought the price was a little steep for $270 but it’s 100% worth it. Love the fact I can rip it around the house too
Be careful with jumps or backflips though. I found out the hard way how fragile the headlights are on my Sonuva. Other than that I love this thing and it’s well built.
From all the rc s I've owned my losi desert buggy has been the most fun and reliable followed closely by every arma one I've had, except for the fire team, with my red cat being the worst (didn't even last 2 minutes before it broke the first time and never was able to even run a battery fully down without it breaking
Looks freaking sweet, but that price point is kind of high. Tempted to buy one, though, as a chase vehicle and mount my GoPro Max on it for drifting videos lol.
Buy one! Trust me you won’t regret it. I initially felt exactly as you do. I was like $269, hell no! Then I warmed up to it the more reviews I watched and I’m so glad I went ahead and bought one. One thing I will say is the headlights are fragile! What happened was totally my fault, but early on during mild bashing I broke off the right headlight lens cover.
What will the next generation of RC lovers have to release 20 years from now. We have monster trucks and 80s buggies and old school muscle. What will the nostalgia be in 20 years? Great Video as usual!
A great little truck I wouldn’t mind having. A little pricey, but I understand hard to do with the price. As for standard USB that there is called a USB -A
Thanks Amain for making xmass suck next time when you take the money make sure you have enough to cover all the orders that you took all the money for basic business and you still messed it up
In AMains defense, Horizon kept pushing the drop date back further and further. In early December the wording on Horizon was changed to "Shipping in December". Knowing Horizon all too well by now, I know exactly what that wording meant, and cancelled my pre-order at my LHS, because I knew it wouldn't get here before Christmas, and got my son something else. Horizon and all of their prime distributors also used a lot of "December" in their language about shipping, to give the false impression of a before Christmas delivery. When they knew full well it wouldn't be here until New Year's. I am incredibly disappointed in how Horizon handled this release. But that seems to be par for the course for all of their divisions over the last 2 years.
Great video, I got my daughter Gravedigger and I got me son of a digger...They are awesome I broke the light on my son of a digher also...They look amazing very well done!!!!
@@OGRCFanatic Yep I agree the lights are fragile, it was the bezel on mine that broke, Im not sure if the light kit is available yet but if not should be soon...
Great video as always Mark! I just wanted to comment about the price and market for the LMT minis. The price is high, but solid axle monster trucks are very expensive in general. As far as the market, truck definitely has a home with the MT racing leagues. We already have a few guys ready to race them.
I’ll admit, when these first hit RUclips a while back, I was one of those who thought $269 for a 1/18 scale RC, no way! Then I did my homework and watched a ton of reviews. I broke down and bought Sonuva too when they hit my hobbytown December 15th. And man, I love this thing! Do I still think $269 is kinda steep, well, yea. 🤷🏻♂️😂 But I don’t regret buying it. The only weakness I’ve found is the headlights. Trust me if you bash this thing even mildly hard you’ll risk breaking the headlights. You bashed yours hard and broke both headlights. 🙁 I broke my right headlight lens off during a backflip. Totally my fault 100%. But, I was really bummed at how easily it seemed to break. Luckily my hobbytown took care of me and warranteed it by replacing the body for me with the light kit so I didn’t have to wait until replacement light kits became available. Now I’m actually so cautious I have soft bumpers and pads set up EVERYWHERE in my basement where I drive it. I also like how fast the little USB smart charger charges the battery. Mine charges in about an hour or less. The best part is how cool the motor stays. This thing has no cooling fan or heat sink. Yet I’ll run a complete 15-20 minute battery pack through this thing and the motor is barely even warm! I also have the Arrma Grom, and today picked up the traxxas Teton. Never thought in a million years I’d start having more fun with the mini RC’s than my regular 1/10 and 1/8 scale stuff. 😂 Great video, Mark.
I just ordered a Xmaxx cause I realized Im a Traxxas Fanboy (Drag Slash, Monster Slash 2wd VXL, TRX4 Blazer and TRX4 Hightrail K10) I keep all my boxes in my RC Room So my friends call me James Santa Maria and I dont care 😂 But this Losi is sweet!
I hope a lot of the comments come across as constructive criticism vs haters. I’d hope Traxxas would read one of the biggest RUclipsrs comment section. So hey Traxxas! 4S 1/8 XRT!!! Say by tax day? Cool 😎 👍
@@boduke9428 NOOOOO !! Not even close. A 4S plastic 1/8 scale car like the maxx but lower like the xrt and very similar to the Kraton 4S v2… But ok, yes. A lightweight 4S sledge would be rad 😎
I love my King Sling LMT. It looks great sitting on the shelf. It sits there a lot because it's terrible at being a RC. It's fragile, handles terrible, and isn't particularly quick or fast. The terrible handling makes it seem faster than it is. If you enjoyed playing in straight lines in mud on flat ground it'd be great. Other than that it is a great shelf queen. I still love it. I got it on the father's day sale for $529 or i wouldn't be so forgiving. All that being said i have no use for a smaller, slower one. Especially one costing this much.
The only cars i would say arent worth the brushed motors are the big ones my dad had a rustler 10 years ago he spent probably 600 to get a the vxl brushless sytem and different batteries didnt even come with lipo now you can go to the hobby shop and buy a maxx, battery and charger for 700 the rc hobby has come a long way you have to remember that these rcs are wayyy different than 10 years ago and the prices arent that bad especially if you work some hours at youre job anyways good luck to you and youre rc adventures

in the house they seem super fast... hahaha!
Did you buy them in-store somewhere?
I would prefer to buy 2 arrma gorgons instead. It looks nice tho.
You'd be much better off doing so.
Your videos are awesome! Thank you, sir!
Brushed Motor…!?! Come on Horizon it’s 2024
30 more bucks and I can get myself a brushless mini erevo It should be the price of SCX24 maybe a little more
Its a great little truck after you add 4 wheel steering its super fun to drive
Whats the box cutter/opener you are using? I like it
Love the baby LMT, Awesome little rig...
I actually cancelled both due to the release date getting pushed back one too many times.

Its definitely fun however it may roll over alot with a go pro on it.
I’m glad I fast forwarded through this one.
The price is high for what it is IMO but if you look at it as a collectable then it's a decent purchase.

Spot on with your analysis 👍 I do feel like you are more critical on cars you buy compared to cars that are sent to you 🤷♂️

This tiny rc costs you an arm and a leg 😂
Very cool.. I have a SOD LMT and really want one of these.
I want to see Traxxas make a solid axle monster truck to compete..then we'll see if price is similar
We do not hate when they give it for free .We just want an honest Review not be manufacturers quality control suckers
